"Brought the kitchen sink and happy I did!" 04/20/13
This sink came in handy to wash up away from the water source... keeping our food and face scraps at a manageable distance from wildlife smelling us and the stream clean. It took a few tries to curl back into folded shape until we noticed the instructions to do so right on it! This is handy for giving the dog a drink during a hike also. I recommend highly.
"Nice family camping sink" 01/07/13
I got this for some recent camping with the family to use as a sink. For that purpose it works great. Big enough to really wash things up and then collapses down to a good pack size. I had originally thought I could also use it to carry drinking water, but is not great for that purpose. Perfect for what it is built for though and a great addition to the pack.
"Just what I've been missing..." 12/18/12
This sink is the perfect size for my outdoor adventures. I had been trying to use a pot as the sink for clean-up, but never again! It packs down nicely and is not very heavy so it comes along on our backpacking outings.
"Great addition to backpacking arsenal" 08/16/12
I have alternated between this and the 10L Sea to Summit bucket. They are both great and work as described. The sink has a substantial opening and stays close to the ground, maintaining a low center of gravity. Great for washing stuff (dishes, laundry, small animals…) These come in a variety of sizes, but it has been my experience that if you want to use it to carry water to filter back at camp, subtract about 16-24oz from it’s carrying capacity, as it will collapse a bit if you have to use the handles. The easy solution is to filter close by your water source.
"Backpacker Friendly" 05/19/11
Small, Compact and light weight, all things backpackers want to hear in a product. The sink sits flat, won't tip, and is nice and deep perfect for cleaning up dishes and hands. Makes an excellent bucket even though it is somewhat awkward to carry filled with water. I found that you need to have it slightly less than full and you can grab both handles and carry with ease. 5L is too small and in my opinion the 20L is to big to transport water extended distances. The 10L is the perfect all around size and is highly recommended.
"Nice sink or "bucket"! Many uses. . .dishes, doggie bowl, or put out the fire" 03/25/11
Was pleasantly suprised about how small it packs. Yes, it takes a couple of times to figure out how to put it back in the tiny case, but once you figure it out, packing it back up is not too difficult. As others, we used it to dip up water to make sure that we put out our fire before leaving camp on a very windy weekend. We're in the process of transitioning from camping in tents close to our car, where weight and size our equipment (five gallon plastic buckets) really don't matter, to backpacking into remote wilderness. This is a fantastic, lightweight, "must have" item for us. . .neat bucket with so many uses. . .
"Meh..." 01/02/11
Will hold water. Big enough for small things like cups and smaller plates. Not big enough for pots and/or pans but is helpful for carrying water. If you car camp I think you can get something a little bigger and bulkier that would work better. However would be really good for short-ish backpacking trips. Is great for sponge bathing since it is good for relatively hot water.
"Wouldn't want to be without this!" 12/06/10
My boyfriend and I used this while backpacking in the Smoky Mountains to wash our dishes and even our clothes. It held water really well and did not tip over ever. I found this to be a really handy tool to have when I want to wash something and do not have the luxury of running water nearby. It folds up into a cute little small size too.
"Very easy to use product!" 08/04/10
This product stands on its own and doesn't spill when leaned. The handles are definitely sturdy enough to carry the water pretty long distances if staying away from your water source. The only thing that I do not like about this product is the fact that the storage zipper pouch is no where close to being waterproof. If you are planning on packing up the gear and heading out, make sure that you dry the kitchen sink thoroughly. I didn't dry it enough and it soaked through the carrying pouch and wet all my gear. Other than that, the kitchen sink is definitely worth carrying (even though it does seem a little heavy for the ultra-light hiker).
"bigger than you think hauls, holds water and washes well" 06/29/10
This is a great product I am going to buy the 5L version also as this will suit a larger group of 3-4. Others have mentioned that it is hard to refold and get back into the case but if you have ever folded a pop up kids tent or a windshield sun reflector this is done the same way. I may also try using the 5L as a dog bowl which it should serve the purpose well.
