"Good shoe for the average hiker." 04/29/12

I recently retired this shoe after a year and a half of solid abuse. It is a great lite hiker with its light weight and water resistant Gore-Tex lining (shoes were more often used in wet conditions than dry) are a big plus. These fit my narrow foot like a glove even after breaking them in. I do a lot of off trail hiking and scambling with a pack, the Vibram soles never failed me in any condition. The break-in time was rather lengthy with some hot spots in the toe box during steep decents. I definetly would recomend these shoes for "bashwackerS' like my self.

"Fantastic shoe" 03/26/12

I gave up on Merrill after my third pair just fell apart. No such issues with Scarpa. Great quality and super comfortable. Great on the trail and trekking around in the slush in the city. Can't say enough good things about them. Fit seems true. Not as narrow as the Scarpa Mojito which I also have.
