"Pretty Good but...." 09/27/11
I've had three pairs of these shoes plus a pair of mangos and each have performed great. A only downside i have had is that the rubber in under the big toe likes to wear pretty fast, then again i climb almost every day. Another downside to these is that if you like to toe hook the lower strap where the metal is attached wears and will need to be replaced. I have notice that the vapor v has opposing velcro straps which would eliminate the wear on that metal loop, without compromising the aggressiveness of the shoe itself. All in all i would say the booster is a bad ass shoe. My only wish is that scarpa would oppose the velcro straps so the rub wouldn't effect the lower strap. SEND IT!
"Great shoe helped me become a better climber" 06/15/11
when i was on the market for new climbing shoes i wanted to get something more aggressive. being ambitious i went all out an bought the Scarpa booster. This move to a more aggressive shoe has greatly improved my climbing and footwork. the booster handles roofs very well and edges better then expected. As far as sizing goes i sized it at 43 when i usually run size 45 street shoes or size 44 climbing shoes(5.10 anasazi) . it was unbearable at first but now that they are broken in i use these shoes for everything but super long multi pitches.
"Sick just like their brother the Mango" 05/04/11
I have had two pairs of these and hands down I can say they are my favorite shoe... right along side The Mangos are the lace up version of these. If you like hanging upside down and being able to send some gnarly shit look no further. The scarpa booster are super aggressive which allows you toe some of the smallest features I've ever seen. Super Cool!!!
"Favorite climbing shoe." 05/03/11
I would suggest this shoe to just about anyone. If you're looking for an aggressive shoe that's still reasonably comfortable this is it. Perfect for bouldering and sport climbing. The rubber is not the stiffest so these aren't ideal shoes for cracks but hey they still get the job done.
"Boost me up scotty!!!!" 03/31/11
The Scarpa Booster shoe has been what i feel the best climbing shoe i have hade yet so far. love the velcro traps makes getting the shoe on and off a breeze, unlike a normal tie up shoe :( when climbing i feel like spiderman the shoe hugs the wall like a loving mother, boosting me ever higher to my goal. you will not regret this choice, and if you do well maybe you not spiderman/woman
"You climb? Buy these. Now." 09/13/10
These shoes have taken me from the slab ridden lines of Lion's Head to the overhanging amphitheaters of the Red River Gorge and they have yet to fail me. These shoes just don't discriminate; crank out the craziest boulder problems with their aggressive design or edge your way among the most delicate of footholds with their thick, sticky rubber to get to that next bolt. Whatever your style, these shoes will sync with you. Breaking these shoes in took three profanity inducing sessions, but were well worth the price to my mortal soul. Make sure you get that heel really locked in when you are sizing them up so you can keep the payoff going for a long.
"Don't buy without trying them on!" 09/08/09
These are great shoes, but VERY tough to get the right size. If you have the right foot for these, they are great. I ended up buying these way to small because that's the only way I could get my heel to fit snugly. My synopsis - great shoes for people with smaller feet. Great for bouldering.
"These Shoes Freakin' Rock!!!" 05/07/09
Boosters offer incredible control and precision on all manner of vertical and steep climbing and while they smear well too, I definitely won't be breaking them out for any long slab climbs. They're ridiculously sticky even during the break in phase, which, thankfully, doesn't take too long. On sizing: I have a slightly wider foot than normal, and while I wear a 10.5 in street shoes, the 42.5 in these make for a very nice (tight) fit (for further comparison, I wear 10.5 in evolv, and while the Scarpa heels fit me well, La Sportiva heel cups have always been either too high or just just too big and pouch-like for my foot). These shoes are worth every penny.
"Amazing Control!!" 10/06/08
These shoes are amazing. Incredible control without loosing any of its strength. They are great for heel/toe hooking. The design allows you to stand on anything because all of your weight will be powered into the contact point. I can stand on things I never even saw before. These shoes are incredibly tight so if you don't want that, then don't get these. After about a week, granted its a painful week, the shoes will be customized to your feet. At this point they are snug but not painful. Some things that really sold me;Hand made in ItalySame rubber formula as La Sportiva, XSgrip by VibramThese and Mago (lace version) were the only shoes to receive 5 stars by Rock and Ice magazine.
"Rad shoes" 09/19/08
These are great shoes only down side is the material around your toes gets ripped very easily when jamming ur foot in cracks.. best solution is some seam seal and its all good.. Excellent for steep climbing if you have a very wide foot these shoes are a great option if you cant fit your foot in any La Sportiva solutions.
"Perfect" 05/04/08
I love these shoes! They're just perfect. It's got leather in all the right places, rubber in the others. There's no extra stuff. They just wrap your feet in leather, hold it in place with rubber which supports your foot the right way too, and have a perfect platform on the bottom. I'm already turning bumps on the rock I didn't see in the past into platforms that I can spent all day standing on... If I had to complain about anything which I'd be hard pressed to do, it'd be that they don't include a bag to carry them like mad rock does, but that's really picky, and I'm sure I can just put them in my daypack... For fit, I went surprizingly small. I wear a 42.5 on the street, and got a 4
