Not only did I get these on sale on MJ, but these shoes look sick. The burlap upper is durable, yet comfortable (doesnt feel like a burlap sac on the inside). The brown leather gives the shoe a great contrast. The only negative is the leather laces that always come untied. I have to tie mine double knotted for them to only come loose like once in a full days worth of walking. Overall, definitely worth it.
I bought these because I want to look fashionable while also retaining comfort and functionality. These fit the bill! Of course, it is not a good idea necessarily to go for long hikes in them, but for walking around town or even on light trails they work like a charm. Further, if you wear other shoes that are so called "boatshoes," or any leather similar shoe, you know that they are sweaty and cause your feet to smell considerably; these certainly cause less sweat while being stylish. I plan on taking them up to Northern MI in July and August for casual use, and I am sure they will conquer whatever may come.
