"Awesome. 1st or 2nd best pair of shoes I have owned" 06/12/13
Great lacing design. Toss up between these and the fellcross. Wish these had a lower drop but it is really only mildly noticeable on the downs. Soles wear quickly, shoes however really hold up. In my opinion the size 8.5 us is wider in the speedcross than the fellcross so these would be a better choice if you have wide feet. The fells are more money have a lower drop and a more snug but it is really a toss up as both are performing so well on the different terrains they encounter. These have bigger but less lugs than the fells as a side note.
"Perfect trail running shoes in good weather condition, but...." 05/08/13
This shoes is very comfortable, the breathability is incredible, the grip ând the stability in the mud and trail is very good, but whit water azards your socks risk to be sweat and the skin of your feet risk to have blister. Whit wet condition this shoes is a stupid choose. The soles isn't not grippy whit rock, there is little gripping surface for rock, and the wet rock...uhhhh ist worse. The sole have a shor tlife whit this terrain, this shoes was built for trail and ground terrain in to the woods.
"Fast, Comfortable, rugged" 05/02/13
If fast to get on, comfortable to wear and holds up under strenuous conditions is what you are looking for, look no further. These shoes are where its at you have everything you need from trail running to a weekend backpacking trip.
"Built for speeeeeed" 01/20/13
This shoe is built for speed from the ground up. The sole is a grippy compound with large lugs that will tear through mud like a wood chipper through your Christmas tree! The fit is narrow, so if you have a wide foot, you may want to reconsider. The boa lacing system is awesome allows for a snug fit from toe box to the top of the upper. I would recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a fast shoe for racing.
"Great, comfortable shoe" 10/14/12
i love this shoe. more comfortable than my xa pro 3d's, these are great for off road adventures, and will surely keep your feet dry. i have these in black and they are my go to shoe in the winter. very traction oriented, probably not the best use to just roll around town in these. it's like having a chesapeake bay retriever, and keeping them in an apartment. you are not doing them any justice. so throw them on, then throw anything at them. they will handle it.
"Best trail shoe I've ever tried...and I've tried A LOT of 'em!" 07/23/12
So, I used to be a trail running shoe whore...I've probably tried about 20-30 different brands/styles. I am now a one shoe man, the Speedcross 3. This shoe has an amazing amount of grip, no matter the surface. Hardpack, grass, dirt, mud, and rocks...it does it all. I am 6'2", weigh 230lbs, and usually run a very technical trail, the Billy Goat Trail in MD. It throws everything at you...dirt, rocks, roots, mud, hardpack...everything. These shoes make me feel like Spider Man.
"Great Stiuff!" 04/12/12
I have extremely flat feet and is a heavy pronator. My feet are not just flat but they are very narrow so I have trouble even just trying to balance myself in a moving bus! I am also a relatively heavy runner standing at 180cm but weights 74kg. I bought a pair of Speedcross primarily for very steep mountain running as I really need the grip and stability especially in the winter. These shoes are very realtively light, comfortable and can accomodate my feet as well as giving me the confidence of a good grib. Further, I keep getting comments from friend and strangers like "Nice looking runners you have!"
"Most Comfortable Trail Shoes Ever!" 03/17/12
I just got done with my first 20 miles on these shoes with some pretty rough trails. When I first put the shoes on, they felt like I had a pair of clouds attached to the bottom of my feet. At the end of my last 10 miles, I took them off and waited for about 15 min. I was curious so I put them back on. Still cloudy! They are very light and I felt like I was really hauling on the trails. Grip was no issue at all. I am in training for a Tough Mudder in Oct so I will be using these a lot over the next 6 months. I have faith that they will hold up. More updates on these shoes as I go...
