Every climbing trip i take i always bring an array of the supposedly best clothing items from Teryx, RAB, MAR, every trip the pictures from when i return are all the same this black hoodie because it might be the best jacket/hoodie from bouldering in the Buttermilks to big walling in ZION and everywhere else i go im wearing this damn thing with the hood up. It fits awesome medium at 5'11 150lbs, hood awesome under a helmet no hat needed the body and sleeves tight enough for brutal offwidths and chimneys, the zippers all work! The fabric is awesome the outside it durable and abrasion resistant, i grind against rough lichen covered granite offwidths, and whale over sandstone boulders!
"A well-made, multi-purpose fleece hoodie that will be well worth the price for certain users."

The Shadow is surely the product of a modern softshell jacket and a fleece jacket making sweet love down by the fireside. Rab calls it an "extremely versatile stretch fleece," which is pretty accurate. In temperate weather, it's a good outer layer; the abrasion-resistant, tightly-knitted and wind-resistant, DWR-coated outer surface protects me against cool temps, light rain, and moderate wind. In harsher weather, the snug-but-flexible fit (with its STELLAR hood and collar) allows me to easily layer it under a shell. Large pocket zips help regulate across a wide temp range. After several months, I've decided its flexibility is worth the extra cost and weight; IMHO, this thing is underrated.
