"AWESOME" 09/11/10
Prana products have always treated me well, these shorts are no exception. Great fit, extremely durable and comfortable. The material is soft but stretchy and tough, Ive gone hiking, camping, bouldering and everything in between and they haven't frayed from rocks or the abuse i put them through, i have 4 pairs of these and the first pair is as good as the last. Definitely buy, great choice.
"No homo" 07/04/10
Here's the deal. I bought these thinking they would make me some sort of super awesome ninja climber, but when I got them I think my man parts shrunk a bit. I’m 5'8" and these are to the bottom of my calf. With a harness on you can kinda see my stuff. A little weird. When I wear my boots I look like I hiked up my pants to avoid a flood. When I throw my rock shoes on I look like a fairy ballerina doing pirouettes. I just googled how to spell pirouettes so don't think any differently about me. Anywho...now for the good. They are super stretchy and amazingly comfortable. If I was a crime fighter in the night I would probably wear these. Only at night tho...so the bad guys couldn't see my meat.
"Awesome for knee protection" 05/15/10
I'm still a beginner climber so I brought this along to one of my basic climbing classes. At the end of the class my knees were unbruised, unabraded and feeling great! Great protection, especially if you're like me and miss a lot of footholds.
"Nice Stretchy Pant." 05/11/10
These knickers are great. If you are in to climbing whether at the gym or on the rock these are the pants that you will want to have on. I also have the 3/4 basin pant made by Mountain Hardwear. While I love the way the Mountain Hardwear pants look, the Prana knickers are the ones I wear to climb in. The stretchy material allows for flexibility when trying difficult moves. I have found that the Mountain Hardwear pants restricts me a bit. I wear a size 33-34 and I had to send a size large back and get the size mediums.
"Great Pants! Probably crafted in climbing heaven!" 03/24/10
I have had a pair of knicker pants(Man-pris) That I wore for a couple years. Everything that they lacked, these have, and MORE! They fit true to size, are comfortable, and as durable as they come. They have the flexibility of climbing in shorts, matched with the protection of climbing in pants. Whether its stemming, heel hooking, or knee barring, these pants have you covered! There is no excess fabric around the hips, so your harness goes on with ease, and stays comfy longer! The pockets are deep, one zippered, perfect for the valuables. I have spent a lot of time looking for the perfect pair of knickers. These are it! Save yourself the time and buy a pair, No chance of disappointment!
"I can't stop wearing them......help!" 05/02/09
The Nemesis knicker is probably the most comfortable bottom i've purchased. They are fantastic for climbing as they are flexible and durable. The material is VERY similar, if not the same, as the material used for my north face summit series jacket I love so much. P.S. I also love Moosejaw.
"Perfect for what it's not intended for!" 04/28/09
These make great shorts for cycling, as the length is perfectly above the crankset. They're a little pricey for what they are (I mean, they're really just obese kid pants), but a way better deal then most hipster knickers that are actually marketed as "cycling shorts." The crotch ventilation is an added bonus.
"These are great knickers. Perfect for a day of yoga, then climbing, then relaxing with friends." 04/10/09
These are amazing pants. I bought them on a whim recommendation from a friend, but they are quickly becoming my favorite pants for climbing as well as just wearing. They cut just below the knee so they are great for when its too warm for pants but too cold for shorts. This also makes them perfect for a climbing and a good knee bar rest. They don't rip - must be some steel woven into these pants. I've fallen hard while trail running in them and no damage done despite the fact that I feel pretty hard on some rocks and debris.Bottom line. If you are serious about climbing, serious about yoga, serious about looking good, or you just want some sweet knickers get these pants.
"Climbing monkey's best friend" 07/19/07
These pants rock for rock! It was a hot day. Was climbing a hard, overhanging route. Sweating bullets and about to fall. Bam, managed to get a knee-bar and a no-hand rest. Pants stretch to support the crazy climbing moves, breath well and sit comfortably. Cons unlike Prana's Mantis Knicker, these pants only have one side pocket. One pocket is for a camera. Where should my power bar go? Also, the zipper is a little harder to open than velcro.
