Women's Fit Guide Details & Info

Patagonia's measurements refer to body size and NOT garment dimensions. Sorry for yelling about it.

Each Patagonia product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, and below are their generalized four fit descriptions, and details about each fit. The Patagonia fit for each style can be found in the product description features or specifications.

FORMFITTING
• Conforms to the body's contours.

SLIM FIT
• Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.

REGULAR FIT
• Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers. Men's regular fit pants have a slimmer fit through that thigh, lower leg, and cuff.

RELAXED FIT
• Drapes loosely on the body. Men's relaxed fit pants have a bit of extra room through the hip, thigh, lower, and cuff.

CLASSIC BOY FIT
• Boxy, athletic, with a traditional crew neck.

ANIKA FIT
• Formfitting and longer in the torso, with a wider, deeper neck (not quite scoop).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Patagonia is Great, These Pants Are Not The fabric is stretchy and lightweight, though it has a tendency to gather random pet hair like a magnet. They have strange side seams that cross the front on the lower legs. I could have overlooked these nitpicky details, but the poor fit is what made me send them back. The real problem was the baggy legs. This pant is designed for rock climbing, so presumably you want to be able to see your feet and not have giant pant cuffs to get in the way. And the length! PLEASE, Patagonia, not everyone is 5'10" and needs a 32" inseam! Give us a "short" option. We are dropping enough money on your gear to begin with, we shouldn't have to then pay a tailor to make it fit properly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from my go to lightweight climbing pants This is my second pair of Rock Guide pants, the first have seen 2+ years of use for multi-pitch trad/alpine climbing. For their light weight they hold up fairly well; I have 2 patches on the old pair mostly from my nut tool. The color (walnut) is a neutral, inoffensive brown and easy to pair with brighter colors. The zippered pockets keep my climbing topos from flying off into space and provide easy access to a pack or two of Clif Shot Bloks. My only gripes are that I'm between sizes and I wish the fabric a tad more stretchy like my Prana and OR pants. Overall thumbs up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I hope Patagonia never stops making these pants These are by far my favorite climbing pants ever. The lightweight fabric is great for warm weather climbing, but with a base layer underneath, you can 3 seasons of climbing out of one pair of pants. I think the fit is great and the fabric does move well. My only complaint is that I had to hem them about an inch. I'm 5'6" with 31" inseam, I believe all of Patagonia pants now come with a standard 32" inseam

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad Fit I'm in need of a new pair of climbing pants...these seemed like the perfect choice. Unfortunately once I tried them on I realized they couldn't fit me worse! The crotch was too long, the leg length was too short, they actually fit in the waist but were huge in the butt. Problem is, I can't go down a size because they are already too short and would only be worse :(
