The Patagonia Women's Retro-X Jacket has a breathable and windproof barrier sandwiched between cozy Synchilla fleece on the outside, and a polyester brushed mesh lining on the inside. Supplex nylon panels down the sides and under the sleeves reduce bulk and provide a slim fit with a minimal weight of only 17.7 oz. This Patagonia perennial favorite blends classic styling with some great features - pretty awesome. The Retro-X jacket has a fleece-lined collar, protective wind flaps, and two zippered hand-warmer pockets to keep digits toasty. My GF really liked the Retro-X fleece. But now she's my X-GF after that other dude came into the picture. Home wrecker, totally broke the bro-code.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this jacket! Okay, so Patagonia has never disappointed me and I have always been pleased, but this has far surpassed my expectations. I am in love! This is one of the sturdiest, yet softest jackets yet. This one will last years. It is a little stiffer than some of the other Patagonia jackets I own, but that is because the lining helps hold its shape. I normally wear a size 2 and an extra small. I chose to order a small in this jacket and I am happy that I did. I am able to layer without any trouble. I purchased this mainly for outdoor family adventures, but am glad to know I can use it for something a little more "bad ass" when I am able to get a babysitter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great, UNIQUE fleece that's super warm and flattering. This is a great fleece and unlike the NF Denali, you won't see it on every street corner. The Alpaca brown color is a beautiful earthy tone. I noticed no one really mentioned sizing in the reviews here. I actually read the reviews at www.altrec.com before purchasing I would obviously NEVER betray Moosejaw and buy my coat from there. Definitely order a size up. I'm usually in between and S and M, so I got the M based on the reviews I read. The medium fits me great, but it is still VERY fitted I'm 5'7 and 120 lbs. I really can't wear anything thicker than a t-shirt underneath it, but it's such a warm and toasty jacket, I doubt I'll need to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it, but try it on first I've loved the idea of this jacket for years (cozy, warm, windproof, and made by Patagonia), but it always was a bit too boxy looking for me. This year I saw that it had been redesigned to be "slim fit". I went to order it in my usual size small, but I saw a few key reviews and decided to try it on in a store first. All of my Patagonia jackets are size small and they fit perfectly or a bit on the large side. I am 5'10 and usually wear size 2-4 in clothing and I found the small was way to tight in the shoulders. I tried the medium and it was a perfect fit! Still slim looking, but fit well all around with enough room to wear a few layers underneath!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light yet toasty, durable jacket for all occasions I can have a T-shirt underneath it and still toasty, warm in freezing weather. I disagree with those reviewers who said to order a size up. I wear a small to medium but wore a small in this jacket. Its a slim fit and is supposed to contour your body, not much room for bulk underneath. I would just follow the patagonia sizing chart and it will fit you perfectly. The jacket is versatile. It can be a jacket warn by itself, under other layers, good looking but still casual, moisture wicking and very durable. I also gotta say that I get more complements on this jacket. Everyone thinks the jacket looks so cozy and warm and they are right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm and comfortable but slim fit This is definately a good jacket to have when you want more than the traditional fleece. The only issue I have was the fit. I am typically between a small and a medium at 5'8'' so when they said it was a slim fit product I knew I definately should get the medium. Had I tried it on I probably would have ordered a large so that I could fit sweaters under it comfortably but once I knew that the large was sold out and I decided to keep the medium. It is perfect for fall and spring in Ohio where temperatures have a wide range and you never know when you will need a warm jacket. Look forward to more patagonia and moosejaw purchase to come!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Layer After reading the reviews of this jacket, I expected an outstanding coat that was durable and windproof. When I recieved the jacket, I was a bit dissapointed. It is definitely more of a slim fit. I weight 118 poounds and am petite (5'1). I ordered the medium, and it fit well but it was somewhat constricting and not as flexible as my northface denali jacket. I decided to keep the jacket and it has been great against the wind. I've found myself grabbing for it when I need something lighter than my northface metropolis parka. I would recommend this jacket for layering as it does a great job of that, but be careful what size you order!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simultaneously windproof and cozy I bought this jacket with high hopes that its supposed windproof description would be true. I am thoroughly pleased with how accurate it is! In the cooler months, this is the perfect jacket for keeping out a lakefront breeze and staying cozy! The quality of the Retro-X is evident in its sturdy interior lining, and the fleece outer shell has gotten softer with use. Overall, I highly recommend this product for someone looking to stay warm in windier conditions, whether you're hiking a trail or just a busy street. The length is a bit on the shorter side (I'm 5'9'' and the medium is comfortable but fits JUST at the hip), but sleeve length and overall fit is otherwise true to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Got my money's worth!! I bought this jacket almost 4 years ago and wear it alteast 3/4 of the year!! It is so versitile! When i wear it in 50 degree weather im not too hot, yet it still keeps me toasty when its in the single-digits. ,,Mine is still going strong, but im purchasing another because Ive had such good luck. I would say this jacket runs 1/2 size small. I usually wear an XS but I got an S. However I think I will buy the XS this time because the wrists were a little loose and air comes up through the sleeve on extremely windy days. ,,,,I never thought I would find a jacket that is this functional as well as flattering!!!
