The SPECS
2-layer, 4.3-oz 70-denier 100% recycled nylon Gore-Tex fabric with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish
The design and quality of this jacket are great. I found the length to be generous enough, any longer cut and it would be a trench. The fabric has a soft touch which is nice and helps you feel less crinkly when the temperature drops. I also love that the quilted down is hidden, helps me feel like less of a marshmallow when braving the outdoors. I fully expect to wear the heck out of this jacket for many many years to come, durable and SO functional.
"Very warm, 100% waterproof, hood fits over helmet, plenty of storage pockets but too short in length"

Extremely warm, completely waterproof, even in a downpour. The hood is perfectly sized to fit over ski helmet and cinches down nicely for almost complete face protection in blizzard conditions. However, the only downfall is the jacket is too short in length. I am only 5'2.5", and it is too short to prevent snow getting under the powder skirt or into the top of your pants if you fall. I spoke with a patagonia rep who confirmed that the small size was "not long enough for everyone." They suggested trying the men's small or women's medium. Otherwise, it is a great jacket for no fall zones!!
"warm, waterproof, hood covers helmet, lots o pockets but the length is too short."

this jacket would be perfect except for the length. The length is just too short (and i'm a shortie, 5'2.5") and if you ever fall (which only happens to me RARELY) you get pow pow up the powder skirt and down your ski pants which sucks. especially sucks when you are skiing in freezing new hampshire and pick that jacket because its uber warm but then you freeze yo butt off because snow got in yo panties.
