Women's Fit Guide Details & Info

Patagonia's measurements refer to body size and NOT garment dimensions. Sorry for yelling about it.

Each Patagonia product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, and below are their generalized four fit descriptions, and details about each fit. The Patagonia fit for each style can be found in the product description features or specifications.

FORMFITTING
• Conforms to the body's contours.

SLIM FIT
• Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.

REGULAR FIT
• Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers. Men's regular fit pants have a slimmer fit through that thigh, lower leg, and cuff.

RELAXED FIT
• Drapes loosely on the body. Men's relaxed fit pants have a bit of extra room through the hip, thigh, lower, and cuff.

CLASSIC BOY FIT
• Boxy, athletic, with a traditional crew neck.

ANIKA FIT
• Formfitting and longer in the torso, with a wider, deeper neck (not quite scoop).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best use of space I've seen in a while I could not have imagined the versatility of this little gem when I bought it a couple of years ago. Amazing warmth-to-weight, so packable, layers easily over a midlayer and goes from trail to street with ease. I wear this all. the. time.,,After several washes I notice some pilling along the stitching, but nothing major.,,Fit is a bit snug in the hips (and I have narrow hips) and roomy in the chest. I ordered a size up to accommodate the former (my friend has the jacket-style Nano Puff which has more typical proportions with negligible added weight for extra zipper--I will go with that option next time--and there will be a next time).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Super light but kind of boxy I saw a woman in Chicago wearing this during a somewhat cold day last spring. It looked fantastic on her; especially since it didn't look too casual. Say, as casual as a fleece 1/4 zip. I immediately wanted one to wear to work so I could be warm but not overly casual. It's a warm and functional top overall, but I seem to be drowning in it even though I ordered an xs. The sleeves are too long so they bulk up and there's no shape/definition in the waist. The nanopuff jacket however, does have a more defined waist/shape. It is not form fitting and I can wear a layer or possibly two underneath. Nice, but not as good as I expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light-weight super warm pullover I took this pullover down to Patagonia and Peru in lieu of the puffy I usually use for camping in order to save weight/space. I also used it for some camping in Yosemite, a sort of trial run, and was not at all disappointed. The temperatures dropped below freezing and there were some incredibly strong winds, but my torso was never cold. I also liked that I could comfortably fit it under a waterproof shell for use in the cold rain and snow. It packs down into the pocket, which was great for saving space when backpacking. The only thing I wish it had were some pockets, but that's not a deal-breaker.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for climbing in unpredictable weather I take this on all my rock climbing trips. Its so small and lightweight that it makes no difference in my pack. Differently from other reviewers, I actually like the boxy fit (with the bottom hem loose, not elasticized) because it allows me to comfortably belay. Ill haveit up in the front, while my back is still covered. When it's my turn to climb, I'm able to pull it off without removing my helmet. When I climb in it It doesn't restrict my movement and the fabric has proved surprisingly durable. Every time the wind blows, you'll be surprised how something so thin and light can be so effective.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best piece of gear ever. I own one already and after months of backpacking trips this last Xmas trip finally convinced my wife of the pure awesomeness of this jacket. It's super light, it's very warm and it's a Patagonia. With just a smartwool base layer and this jacket we hiked out of the Grand Canyon on December 26th. At the rim it was zero degrees and gusting winds at 30-40 mph. Climbing up i was perfectly warm- of course I was climbing up- but still- it was well below the zero point with the wind chill. 'Nuff said-This jacket will always be in my pack on all my adventures. can't really go wrong with this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from most comfortable I have several Patagonia clothing items & thought I did not need another. Glad it when for this. Comfortable & light to carry in a backpack but heavy on the use. Blocks wind & too hot to wear in the car & in stores. Would rate it a 5 but Patagonia is hard to judge fit. I wear Mediums & Larges depending on fit from Patagonia. This item is trim so I purchased a large. I am 5'5" 145. I have other fleece items that are medium. I am going to next time chat with Moosejaw salesperson on line to judge the fit of Patagonia clothing. I know they are there to help like that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Warm I have a very active 17 month old and I needed a jacket that was really light weight and warm, that I could throw in the backpack or stroller during our adventures. This jacket is perfect! I love that it folds up into a little pocket and it is most definitely warm (I find myself taking it off more than putting it on because I get too hot, can't wait for colder weather so I can keep it on). I did get to put it to the test in the Adirondacks recently when we got snow and rain, it was perfect under my shell!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal for Backpacking Incredibly warm, and ridiculously light. When you hold it, you would never think it's warm. Once you put it on though, you'll realize that the synthetic insulation will keep you very toasty. It's good alone for +30 degrees F. The Nano Puff is a great layering piece though, so throw a hard shell over it, or a capilene base-layer under it and you'll be warm. ,,It's also very packable for avid backpackers like myself. It'll dry quickly because of the synthetics, thus, if you're traveling, you gotta have this!
