My boyfriend surprised me with this for Christmas and I live in it. I'm pretty small, but have broad shoulders, so he got me a size 4 and it fits perfect. So soft and cozy. . . even convinced my job that flannels were business casual so I could wear it to work.
This shirt is great! I had a thin flannel, I had a woodsman flannel, and this one fits in the middle - its just right. I've been layering it a lot, over tanks and t-shirts, it's got that 'I'm comfy and I don't care, but I'm still cute' look. It's not that fuzzy, itchy fabric, but beautiful organic cotton that washes and wears very well. I'm a solid medium and went for a 6, it's a nice fit, long sleeves and relaxed but not baggy. However, at a 36C, if the girls are feeling bountiful on any given day, it may be a bit tight through the chest.
For some unknown reason my friend did not own a flannel. We went on a big outing and had all planned on wearing flannel for some fun photos... She ended up wearing it all weekend. Swears by its soft exterior, yet super warm design... Fit her great too.
I love this flannel! I am very tall and it is so hard to find women's flannels with long enough sleeves for me, and I have finally found one that fits well! It comes down long enough on my waist as well which I love. This shirt is so soft and warm I want to wear it every day. I climb and backpack in this shirt, and it is very durable and wears well. I don't normally spend this much on clothes, but this was worth every penny.
At first I thought the price was a bit steep, but it is totally worth it. This is my second patagonia flannel. These things last a lifetime. My other flannel is 4 years olds and well loved but show little evidence of wear and tear. It fits true to size and incredibly soft. Totally worth the 80 bucks in my opinion, or get it on sale. Quality over quantity right??

My only complaint is that even the small size is a bit big for me. But it works great for wearing over a hoody or something. Nice and warm and stylish looking also!
