Women's Fit Guide Details & Info

Patagonia's measurements refer to body size and NOT garment dimensions. Sorry for yelling about it.

Each Patagonia product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, and below are their generalized four fit descriptions, and details about each fit. The Patagonia fit for each style can be found in the product description features or specifications.

• Conforms to the body's contours.

• Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.

• Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers. Men's regular fit pants have a slimmer fit through that thigh, lower leg, and cuff.

• Drapes loosely on the body. Men's relaxed fit pants have a bit of extra room through the hip, thigh, lower, and cuff.

• Boxy, athletic, with a traditional crew neck.

• Formfitting and longer in the torso, with a wider, deeper neck (not quite scoop).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sporting Panties! 5'4'', 117...small fits perfectly,,I love these undies. I'm training for a marathon, and I won't do my long runs without these. They wick moisture, they're super comfortable, and they're pretty effing cute too! They sit low and they have a lot of stretch which is great. The other "sports panties" I've tried don't have the stretch that these do, especially in the leg openings. There is nothing to dig into my skin, even under compression pants. I hate being aware of my clothing when I'm running, especially my underwear. I never notice these bad boys. They're pricey, but totally worth it. I shouldn't have waited as long as I did to buy them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TRULY THE BEST These are the best underwear I have ever had. Some places on the body are more uncomfortable than others when you are sweaty. These underwear deliver as promised. They are a miracle really. They keep my dry and comfortable, never ride up, nice and stretchy and they are quite attractive. I would never consider hiking, biking, backpacking, skiing, etc. without them. The black seems to fit a bit better than the patterned ones. I wish that they had more of a variety colors that fit like the black ones and that they were cheaper, or that there was a discount if you buy several pairs. I would love to stock-up on these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best undies ever ABSURDLY comfortable. I find myself hoping that the other undies in my drawer wear out quickly - so that I can replace them ALL with these hipsters. Seriously. They are stretchy (they don't pull at anything), seamless, low-rise, mostly panty-line-less. I will go to work in these undies, and then put bike shorts OVER them and bike 50 miles. I know that is anathema to most cyclists, but they are really that comfortable and they never chafe. Cute colors. They have lasted me a very long time. What more do you need?? The Barely Bikini is an equally good line from Patagonia with the same fit; it is my preferred for backpacking/travel as it dries even faster than the Hipster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Excellent I bought the S in tan ~10 months ago, and in black ~5 months ago; they are nearly always either on me or in my laundry.,,I am a casual marathoner, avid rock climber, and aspiring mountaineer. I am 5’0’’, 110 lbs., 34C, 27.5’’ waist, 15.5’’ torso, 35’’ bust, 35.5’’ hips.,,These are excellent– extremely comfortable, breathable, quick-dry with no “muffining.” In my experience, they never ride up. They seem durable with robust elasticity. They are visible under tight clothing.,,I’ve worn them for many distance (18 mi.+) runs with no chaffing at all. However, when I wore them for hauling a sled up Denali West Butt., I chaffed badly at the inner thigh and was glad I brought the Patagonia Boyshorts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best underwear! I have been wearing these for years! (Not the same pair, obviously.) These underwear are totally worth the price. I buy a couple new pairs every year as I find them on sale and/or feel the need for more. They're quick-drying, and the material lasts forever. They fit better than just about any other underwear I've ever tried. The wide band hugs the hip without squeezing, and the coverage over the tush is enough to cover without making big, weird panty lines. And the best part is they really stay put--no wedgies! I wear these in the backcountry and in town under a dress.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from these are the bottom line for your tush!!! Listen I have 2 really small kids, so when I am not chasing those two little chicken around, I like to bike, hike and jog, so who has time to be pulling their underwear and out of their bum, not this gal! No worries here because they stay out and cover a my modest bum. They are wonderful for everyday wear, activities and just lounging. Minimal line because they cover the whole bum and if your like me and have a round tush, these will go all the over it without having some your coin slot sneaking out, no one needs that unless your 19:) An easy purchase!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FABULOUS! These panties are worth it. I'm a runner, mostly, and a casual hiker. I bought these to take on a 14-mile overnighter in Zion, and they were absolutely wonderful. Even though it was 90+ degrees the whole time, these did not make me feel sweaty or gross. I was worried about the leg openings being too tight, but they have plenty of give. I will probably never wear these under a tight-fitting dress, but they would be perfect with any shorts, pants, or thick or patterned skirts. Now that I dropped the dough on these, I will wear them for all my races!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Versatile but bad undie line I backpacked with two pairs of these. They're great because you can wash them in the sink or shower, they dry quickly, and then you can wear them again. Definitely minimizes space when packing for a backpacking trip. I've also worn them as swim suite bottoms! With that said, however, they really do leave you with terrible undie lines when wearing anything remotely form fitting. I will definitely bring mine with me on my next adventure, but I wouldn't wear these out.
