"Patagucci Solid" 03/04/13
This jacket has been my go-to during the fickle months of mid-atlantic winter. From cool windy afternoons to wet winter mornings this jacket covers most of the bases. It's not quite as robust as the pics look but still a solid Patagonia product with ample quality.
"Very Warm, VERY Lightweight" 01/03/13
On the functionality side, it's very warm, and so light that it's almost tough to notice that you're wearing it. On the fit side, it's a little boxy, as I've found other Patagonia products to be. The drawstrings at the bottom help some, but you're not going to get the athletic look of an Arcteryx or something like that. I bought it for travel purposes too, since you can stuff it into its pocket and use it as a pillow on a plane, and then unstuff it and throw it on when you hit the jetway (your fellow passengers will be amazed.)
"Perfect light insulation for all conditions! Highly recommend it!" 12/19/12
Patagoina Rocks and the Nano Puff is no exception! Light, warm and tough! This is great as a performance peice layered under your shell and as a jacket around town! It folds away into the chest pocket with carbiner loop. It is easy to layer down when you heat up. The Nano Puff is one of my all time favorite peices. It is so comfy as well as high tech. I wore it 48 hours straight in a tight situation. It also dries fast and cleans easy. The cuffs close well and the collar is just the right height to keep weather out but not to mess with your chin or helmet strap. Ace Gear! You will love it!!
"It's crazy light and warm" 12/02/12
So, there's a lot of these kind of jackets around, I've only tried this one and like it. It's so light you won't notice it on your pack, but it packs a pretty good warmth punch. I'm about 6'00 160 lbs and the medium fits well - I definitely wouldn't go smaller.
"Light and Fluffy!" 10/29/12
Title says it all. It's light, durable (about 8 months now), and looks great (I got it in green). I needed a jacket that was light and warm but also would stand out as I rode my bike to school and back. Doesn't do so good against the wind but it's warm as a marsupials pouch!
"Light and packable!" 06/25/12
All in all great jacket. Very warm yet still light weight and doesnt take up all my valuable space in my bag if I need to pack it. My only complaint is I feel the fabric is so thin that it is wearing quickly or maybe I'm just to hard on my gear?
"fantastic jacket" 06/14/12
I wore this jacket every day for 10 weeks straight in Antarctica doing fieldwork. I was really impressed how warm it was without being bulky. Use it as a mid layer on cold days, or just by itself when it's warmer or you're moving a lot. Can't recommend it enough!
"Worth every penny" 06/05/12
I cried a little inside when I bought this one (cost), but I wanted to get a super light insulation layer that packed down small for backpacking. I ended up loving this jacket. It's become my favorite for anytime the weather is a bit colder. Have used it backpacking, snowboarding, grocery getting.. it's just awesome. The only flaw if it has one, is that the material is so light that it has shown signs of abrasion in the high wear areas, but I've had so many good days with this jacket I don't care. It has lasted and held up to some abuse and still keeps me warm even though it's light as a feather. Since it's not down it puts up with the WET pretty well too. Thanks Patagonia =)
"My favorite layer" 02/13/12
I wear this everywhere. Whether that's skiing in 20 below with only an underlayer and a technical shell, or trying to stay light while rock climbing in late fall, this does it all. Great mobility and warmth, in addition to looking awesome and weighing almost nothing. I would recommend this for the mountains in every season.
"Best jacket ever? Pretty damn close!" 02/07/12
I love this jacket. After wearing it pretty much everyday in this year's mild northeast winter, I feel like I'm finally able to give some feedback. 1. Yes, it's warm. Stop asking! Actually, it does a great job at retaining your body heat, not at warming you up. So, be sure to put it on a few minutes before you go outside. Also, it can get TOO warm at times. Think of it like wearing a plastic garbage bag - you have to unzip it to vent it because it doesn't breathe. 2. How warm exactly? I feel like a rule of thumb would be that you're good with this jacket and a t-shirt above 32 degrees. 3. Downside? It's a little short, especially in the back.
