This Jacket is great! I'm 5'10" 185 lbs with broad shoulders and the Large fits so well... just fine with only base layers, but plenty of room for a puffy underneath. I wore it out in a cold steady rain and it was great - I stayed bone dry, never overheated, and could reach, twist, and otherwise move without restriction. I was worried this jacket would fall short of offering the complete protection of a hardshell or the full breathability or durability of a soft-shell. It seems, though, that Patagonia really nailed the body-mapping to take full advantage of the best of both worlds. This has the making of a true go-to shell, excellent for all the but the gnarliest weather.
