"Fantastic, versatile men's jacket" 02/05/13

I have a hard time finding stylish and functional jackets for my husband. This item HAS IT ALL. It's nice looking and really warm. My VERY particular husband loves it and has worn it every single day since he got it. I'm sure we'll buy another one when he wears it out!

"If you are cold--ever--buy this jacket. It will solve that problem." 07/02/12

This jacket feels like getting back into your super soft, super warm bed every time you put it on in the morning. I wear this for my ten minute walk to work in Breckenridge every morning in the winter. I don't have to layer it, nor wear gloves if I use the aptly-described handwarmer pockets. Even on the blustiest days, the jacket stays warm and dry. Complaints? The jacket does seems a tad short in the back and the orange color does show stains pretty well (my beard sometimes drips my leftovers onto my collar). Also, the jacket is so warm it really limits itself to the coldest of days. Even on reasonably cold outings where lots of activity is involved, overheating becomes an issue.

"NICE and WARM jacket" 05/15/12

Great Warmth, Light weight!Hood is really nice, unlike a lot of other down hooded jackets, when the hood is tightened, it actually helps you see better, not just engulf your head.

"Super Poofie!" 02/23/12

What a great Jacket! Patigonia does it again! The fit is great, even with layers. I am 6' 185lb and the Large fits like a glove. Packs small, and is unnoticeable in my pack.

"Great warmth, outer material does not wear well." 01/19/12

Had the jacket for going on two full winters in northern Michigan, the warmth from the jacket is quite remarkable (and I love the hood, and blue color) but the nylon outer just does not stand up to time well. The lower section on the back has faded color and the material looks very worn, not to mention the two small tears that have opened up from fabric fatigue - I would certainly look elsewhere for a more durable outer fabric if I were to buy another jacket, especially for a $300 coat.

"Great jacket, but fits a little weird" 12/21/11

This is a great jacket and it's patagonia so obviously good quality. It's very compressible and comes w/out a hood as well. My only complaint about the jacket is that it is a bit short in the torso. I'd like for it to be slightly longer. Otherwise, it's a really warm coat that can be worn in super cold weather.

"Get this Jacket!" 11/23/11

I must say that I absolutely love this jacket! This is my favorite belay jacket when i'm climbing in the high desert in the fall and spring, and I've never gotten cold waiting for my partner to get up her project. the build of this jacket is top notch, The materials used are of very high quality and after two years of being lived in it almost looks brand new. There's no fray or threads to pull anywhere on the jacket. If you need a warm jacket this is the one for you.

"SO WARM!" 11/15/11

This jacket is truly warm. I would not recommend it for high-output activity unless you are in sub-zero temps. In the coldest part of MI winters, I wear this and a t-shirt (sometimes pants and underwear if I'm feeling modest) and I often get too hot within minutes of entering buildings. Great jacket for casual wear, but I cannot speak to its durability for adventure wear.

"ultimate cold weather down jacket. period." 02/06/11

this is the nicest down jacket. very lightweight, highly compressible, ultimate warmth for winter camping and staying warm while bouldering. well worth the money. oh yea the hood is bomber!!! the hooded version of the fitz roy has a longer cut than the regular fitz roy.
