Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommend it. Super comfy and breathable. WIll buy more of these I ordered my first Patagonia Men's Capilene 2 LW crew not really knowing what to expect, but the reviews seemed to say a lot of good things. I received my order in the mail promptly. I wanted to try it out right when I got it, so I put it on and went to the local gym to do some climbing. Ive never felt so comfortable climbing than in this shirt. It has been getting cold around where I live and this has kept me warm and at the same time it breaths well for when you work up a sweat. I am definitely going to be ordering a few more of these! Get one you wont regret it. I look forward to trying out some of the other patagonia base layers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First glance is basic, but certainly worth it in the long run My Moosejaw box showed up, and everything in my life moved to pause (sorry friends, family, and personal convictions). I opened up the box and immediately grabbed the Capilene 2LW Crew - it felt like a typical long-sleeve tech shirt... I sunk in disappointment and tossed it to the side to scavenge through other purchases. But moments later, I put it on and my life was changed.,,,,The 2 LW Crew is comfortable. And by comfortable I mean "wear it everyday under dress clothes" comfortable. It keeps you very warm and dry, the arms don't stretch out if you pull them up. It's great for hikes; one of the best shirts I've worn for a day hike. I only wish I would have bought more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Same great quality you expect from Patagonia. I purchased a similar shirt from Patagonia about 10 years ago. I still love to use that shirt, but because of some wear and tear around the elbows I decided to look for its eventual replacement. I got this one recently and am extremely happy with it.,,,,The only small issue (not big enough to exchange it) is the size. The medium that I bought is longer in the sleeves by about 2 inches than my old shirt of similar style (which is also a medium). I am 6 feet tall, so normally wouldn't even consider trying on a small but in this case that might fit my frame better. ,,,,I don't live near a Moosejaw store to try on different sizes, so I will just live with the extra two inches. Who knows? Maybe I will learn to love them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Swiss Army Knife of Base Layers I love this shirt. It is light enough to fit under my R1, but still comfortable enough to wear either by itself or with a vest over it. I layer it under my dress shirts on colder winter days so I can go for a walk during lunch while others are inside complaining about how cold it is outside. I find that the crew neck actually makes this a more flexible piece than the zip neck. Buy one, you will not regret it. Sizing: I am 5"-8" and 160 lbs, chest 39", arms 33". Sizing guide says I am a medium (too baggy), but I find that the small has a much better fit to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this shirt, wear it all the time, need a couple more. 5'10", 175lbs, the medium fits perfect. Slim athletic cut without being to tight. The thing that amazes me the most about this shirt is at how well it breathes, yet still insulates well for being a fairly thin light layer. Also dries really quick. So far has held up agaisnt snags and pilling. This really is my favorite tech shirt and the other cool thing is it doesn't look to tech. Like I said i want more of these. Highly recomend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great on its own or as baselayer. I bought this in store as well as the Capilene 2 bottoms back in august. Needless to say I didnt have much use for them then but I just got back from a mid Oct. trip at Pictured Rocks in the U.P. of Michigan where they performed beautifully. The wind coming off of lake Superior was pretty brutal and most of the time I only needed this top to keep me warm. I didn't even have to use the heavier layers of insulation that I brought along. ,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny I bought one of these shirts four years ago. I chose a black one and I wear it almost all year around. After being washed countless times it is still just as black as a new shirt and it is holding up like new. I wear this shirt backpacking, hunting, salmon fishing, at work, and it is my go to weekend shirt on cooler days. It reminds me of a 1981 Mercedes I used to have that I just couldn't wear out or kill after 250,000 miles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm wearing it right now. I got the Viking Blue color and it really does make me feel like a Viking. Fabric does not pill. Holds up in the washing machine and keeps me warm. I use mine mostly as an under layer when I am on my scooter-bike. For the Autumn and Winter, it does the trick. ,,I picked this weight because I either get too hot or too cold; this keeps me right in the middle. I'll get another if anything ever happens to it.
