The Men's Better Sweater 1/4 Zip by Patagonia. A rugged 1/4-zip fleece pullover that combines the aesthetic of wool with the easy care of polyester fleece. This Patagonia fleece has Raglan sleeves for comfort when wearing a pack making it the most awesome fleece outerwear that Patagonia offers. I received a notice from the FDA today regarding Lobster Poo. I was really worried about what people have been eating until I found out it's a candy produced in Maine. I'm still a little worried. I'll take Better Sweater over Lobster Poo any day.

Men's Fit Guide Details & Info

Patagonia's measurements refer to body size and NOT garment dimensions. Sorry for yelling about it.

Each Patagonia product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, and below are their generalized four fit descriptions, and details about each fit. The Patagonia fit for each style can be found in the product description features or specifications.

• Conforms to the body's contours.

• Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.

• Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers. Men's regular fit pants have a slimmer fit through that thigh, lower leg, and cuff.

• Drapes loosely on the body. Men's relaxed fit pants have a bit of extra room through the hip, thigh, lower, and cuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Style, Comfort, and Warmth All in One I have owned the 1/4 Zip Better Sweater for about 4 months now. I am 6'3", 168lbs and purchased a Large . A medium would work for my size but I like the extra room for layering. I like this sweater for its quality and easy care. After several washes, it still looks new and there is no shrinkage. I also appreciate that this sweater is so versatile--it is nice enough to wear to work with a colored shirt underneath or you can wear it casually with jeans and look snappy. The quality fantastic and the money is well spent. For exceptional quality that lasts, I don't mind paying a higher price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Much bigger than it used to be I absolutely love this fleece/sweater. It is the perfect combination of function and style. My fiance bought this sweater a few years ago and he wears it so much I bought him another to replace his original better sweater. However, this sweater is at least a size bigger than his last better sweater, it's huge! This is not due to washing and drying over the past couple of years either because he haven't changed in size and this sweater is so big that if the original sweater was this big we never would have kept it. Possibly order a size down. ,,,,On another note, I have the women's 1/4 zip and the hoodie and they run perfectly true to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very high quality (of course), very warm. Bough this gift for my husband for Christmas. He loves brown sweaters, so I thought I would get him another one. He completely adores it. It is a nice fine knit on the outside, and is fuzzy fleecy on the inside. He has mentioned that it keeps him quite toasty, even going so far as to say he would only wear it with short sleeve tees underneath. He has worn it almost every day since Christmas, It also seems to fit very true to size, which to me seems like a plus. The quality of the sweater is also worth mentioning. Little things like reinforced zippers make a big difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I guess I'm the first human to write about this. But are we human, or are we Dancer? hmmm... Got this lovely piece of clothing in the mail today! And I am very pleased. I'm always worried when I get clothing from online because I'm never sure how it's going to fit. I'm 5' 10" and around 145 pounds. The medium fit me very nicely. The arms are just a tad longer than normal, but I've found this common in Patagonia. the chest and torso area fit just perfect; not too snug, but not baggy either. The fabric is very plush and soft feeling. A little heavier than expected, but I personally think it's an added plus. Considering getting another or going with the full zip to get the side pockets. Can't wait for winter now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely comfortable for a wide range of temperatures and conditions The better Sweater is a top notch jacket that I wear as an outer layer throughout the fall and spring. It's warm enough in temperatures as low as 40 and keeps you dry in light to moderate sprinkles. It also works wells under other jackets in colder weather, and is an eye catcher when out and about. The lining is soft and extremely comfortable. I've slept comfortably many times in this jacket. It does have a tendency to pick up pet hairs if you live with pets, but a standard lint roller does the trick and keep the jacket looking great. Highly recommended for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fleece I bought this fleece over a month ago and have been it wearing since, every time the weather gets colder. Better sweater looks and feels like a sweater but is as easy to care for as any good quality fleece. I'm 5'10" 170 LB, and the medium is a bit snug (easy to put on, need to be careful taking it off). I own a better sweater jacket in Medium for 4 years, and know that it stretches a little bit with the use, so I'd say the size is just right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Inexpensive but warm and comfortable fleece I purchased a small thinking it would be the normal Patagonia sizing - a "regular fit" like this one would be roomy on me... It fit well enough, but was snug, and also shrank... so I would suggest you purchase a medium if you are my size.,,,,Some reviewers say this runs large, but I'm not sure how... I have a number of other Patagonia products and I believe this 1/4 zip runs small. For comparison, I have the normal "better sweater" which runs more true to size than this product.,,,,Overall, I like the 1/4 zip pullover (but, I'm a fan of pullovers...), the fleece is comfy and warm but does not block wind well. Arms run long-ish (but I don't mind).,,,,Note: I'm 5'11, ~155lbs. Broad shoulders. I am the awkward size in-between small and medium...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomb! Its an ultimate essential The M's Better Sweater 1/4-Zip was definitely a great buy. The quality of fleece is unlike any other and I highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a casual, comfortable, warm piece of clothing. Patagonia was great in its efficiency getting the item to me and Jen H. from Customer Service was a great help as well! This is a great product and just what I was hoping Patagonia would come up with. Perfect for those chilly morning bike or ATV rides. Cool windy days on the beach. When you want less than a jacket and more than a light sweater
