I wanted a pair of boots that were somewhere in between full-on hiking boots and plain 'fashion' ones. These filled that requirement perfectly and being waterproof was a great bonus. They were comfortable from the start and required no break-in period. My only concern is that there is a slight tear in the 'fabric' on the inside of the right heel. I think this may be since I tend to pull the boots on without full unlacing them but I haven't decided whether I'll get them repaired or just wait and see. I'd definitely buy these again and think that while they seem a bit pricey, there worth every penny.
