This hat is warm but not too thick and hot. It has to be one of the coolest bills I have seen with the bi-fold in the middle making it easy to stash away in a pocket. I love the look of this hat but wish it was a little taller to fit my big dome. Still the XL is a pretty nice fit.

"I'm a Lumberjack and I'm OK. . ." 11/29/11

I put this on and I cannot help but sing Monty Python's limerick. I really like how the brim folds at midline and appreciate the working buttonholes on the ear flaps. The fit is a bit snug, but I guess that means it won't blow off in a storm. Wear this hat and find your inner Paul Bunyan!

"What ear flaps?" 11/15/11

I love the look of this hat, but when I got it the ear flaps were tiny! They didn't even cover my ears! I wear a 7 1/8 in all hats and the medium did not fit. I was disappointed. I'll be returning this hat. I gave this hat a 2/5 because the idea of the hat is cool and I love moosejaw... it's not their fault OR made a hat that doesn't fit me.

"I like this, fits all my hair and it keeps my head warm" 11/10/11

Ive got a big head and large hair, so I'm not much of a hat person, but I tried this on in the store and knew I had to have it. I run a Christmas tree farm and have been getting things ready for the season, and my heads never had a cool moment, keeps me warm all day.

"hey everybody, come see how good i look!" 01/05/11

bought this as an xmas present for my boyfriend - he loved the red & black plaid and it fit perfect!! he works outdoors in the winter and it keeps him cozy & looking good. ear flaps are not quite tight enough for extra windy cold days - but for average days seems to be plenty warm.

"warm, cool, classic and i love flannel" 11/26/10

I have had this hat before and then lost it i have looked at all of my local outdoor suppliers and had no luck. Not that my review will change your mind, you are the looking at the hat for a reason. get it. because i would get it again, and i am....its warm and soft inside, extremely comfy. looks good on most anyone. i was just so bummed when it was gone, i just like the hat, glad to have found it again at moosejaw. thanks

"The best ski touring and dogsledding work hat ever" 11/01/08

This hat is great for hard sweaty work and those cold hard winter days.This hat dries quickly and keeps you warm all day. the brim on this hat allows you to keep your vision focused in all types of terrain and and all types of lighting. This hat is the first thing I put on in the morning and the last thing I take off in a winter camp.

"This is the best winter work hat I have come across." 11/01/08

I use this hat while dogsledding. This hat will keep you warm in cold winter conditions and is not overly warm on those hot winter days.This is the best work hat going. First thing on in the morning last think off in the night. From hard sweaty work to those cold windy days.For hard blowing winter days this hat paired up with a winter Buff and your set for the cold.
