"Nothing quite like it on the market- OR quality!!" 02/22/13
I've been using this cap for a good time now, and it's been holding up quite well to all sort of abuses in expedition environments (approach to base camp Aconcagua), as well as during ski touring sunny days. With the sun protection it provides I can skip on smothering myself with sunscreen (except my nose). Fit is excellent. My only beef is the "visor" (for lack of better term) could have been a little longer (1-2cm), but certainly not a reason not to buy this product again.
"My favorite hat" 01/22/11
This hat is excellent for running especially in the summer. Very cool. I need to keep out of the sun in the summer and this works so well covering everything on your neck and head you want to cover. I had the tan colored version and loved it so much I bought the white color also.
"Great replacement for my Sequel hat" 10/21/09
I've been wearing a Sequel discontinued product) hat similar to the sun runner. I's great sun protection and will keep your head cool. Now don't feel you are going to look geeky wearing this hat. When I first started wearing my Sequel hat some nerd came up to me and said, "That's the silliest hat I've ever seen." I said thank you. I do horseshow photography and spend a lot of time under the sun. As to how I look doesn't matter. It's the picture that counts.
"just say no to skin cancer" 11/12/08
If you wear this you will look relatively stupid, but your neck will thank you. I always used to burn, no matter how much SPF 70 I'd slather on, but now that I hike in this my neck doesn't fry. The neck drape is light enough that my neck never felt hot or stuffy. With the cinch cord you can tighten it around the front to protect everything between your shirt collar and your chin as well. Most of the other sun hats I looked at didn't actually cover you as well as this one does. They may look less silly, but this one does the job better.
"Get it, you won't go back to the floppy wide brim sun hats." 12/05/06
This is my second sun runner cap. I bought a new one immediately after I lost my previous one. This is the best hat that I've found for keeping the sun off your face and head; full coverage of the sides and back, including the neck. The sand color is light and keeps your head cool. I even wear it under a helmet comfortably. The only downside is that you look a little goofy.
"Overall, sweet product!" 11/21/06
Don't know why I bought this in the middle of winter. Looking ahead I guess 'cause they always sell out.....anyway, this is a great product with a great fit. I did an adventure race in Colorado last summer and hung out at 10,000+ feet for 12 or so hours. When all was said and done, I looked like a redneck from the state of Oklahoma. (Oh wait, I AM from Oklahoma). Anyway, this hat's super at keeping the neck area protected. But with the different positions you can put the back flap in, it doesn't totally suffocate you either.
