I have bought 5 different brands of this style of shirt recently. If I had bought this one first I would only own this brand. The fit is impeccable, the material, the cut, the sizing, the feel inside and out, is AMAZING. Outdoor Research absolutely nailed it with this, I cannot say enough about it. The pictures don't do it justice, it is a work of art... The finishing touch that caps off the deal is that the logos are embroidered, not ironed on. The embroidery is as high quality as the rest of the shirt.
A few years ago I got the female version of this same shirt. I am one of those people that are always cold and having a large dog I have to be out in the snow all winter long. When I got this shirt I could be out for hours in just that and a thin ski jacket. My significant other, who had noticed the efficiency of said shirt and also had to be out with in the cold with the dog, started experiencing bouts of unbridled jealousy and I felt it was my duty to get him the male version so as to curb any growing resentment and preserve the relationship intact. He is 6 foot tall and weighs about 170. I got him a large and it fits him great. Not only is it very warm but it looks really nice, almost formal. It's the kind of thing that you can both take out your dog in and wear to a party in chilly weather and not worry about a coat. He wears it all the time and we are once again a very happy couple except for some minor disagreements when I try to pry it out of his hands to wash it.
"Well made with good looks and performance"
I got this item free from a pair of OR shell pants I ordered. It's very nice and seems well constructed. The material is nice and soft and thick. It's looser fitting than the other type of zip tops I have from Under Armour. The neck doesn't constrict as bad either. It's all around comfortable with thumb hole cuffs also.
I've had the women's version of this shirt for about a year now and have loved it up and down and all over. My husband has been jealous of it that entire time and so I got him his own as an early christmas present. He loves it, wears it all the time, it's perfect for fall weather on it's own or or quickly taking out the dog when it's cold. Plus he looks awesome in it (always a plus).
"Better than a +3 mace of handsomeness. Warmer, too."
I slipped this on over a t-shirt to fend off a chilly 37 degree temperature evening. I had ordered a large and - at 180lbs and 5'11" - I found this item to fit true-to-size and very comfortable. The quarter zip was enough to allow me to fit my oblong head through a neckhole that would have simulated crowning during the birthing process. The Radiant proved to be well-suited for the brisk evening without needing to layer more, and thin enough that it could serve as layering under a light jacket. The breahability kept me from feeling uncomfortable. From a looks perspective? This is the new hotness. Old and busted has left the building.
I got this for free through a Moosejaw/OR promotion. I am very pleased with the product. I use it for running on cool mornings. It is perfect activewear for the 30-60 degree range. It's very comparable to a Patagonia R1. I like the R1 slightly more but this is a good chunk cheaper. I'm 5'11 and 175lbs and the large fits me perfect.
Great pull-over, w/thumb holes mind you, that has proved well for an early, cold start to fall in IN. I wear this around pretty much everywhere. It breathes easily yet helps retain heat. This makes a great base layer in the colder days but is not wind proof. I'm 5"11 230lbs and a large fits me very well. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Even better since it is an OR product. They make some pretty groovy threads!
This top is great for active sports. I run in it during the fall/winter and it keeps me warm. It is quite soft (not as plush as the Patagonia R1, but close). The thumb loops and collar are not 'over technical' - they look good in a casual setting. The Large is slim fitting and true to size. Feels like this top will last a long time, after a few washing's it is holding up well.
