Bought these so I wouldn't be "that guy" at the crag with cut-off shorts. Here's the important stuff: bottom line, they fit true to size, if not a bit snug. The legs are a bit long, I'm 5'10" and they drape past my knees. Good for the scrape protection, bad if you like them a bit shorter. The side pocket has come in handy and the low slung pockets are useful with a harness on. The fabric is light weight and comfy. If you're looking for a good, baggy pair that doesn't take a ton of abuse from off-widths and chimneys, these might be for you..
"the best summertime/spring climbing shorts"
These shorts are ridiculously lightweight, but durable, i think they're made from the Shoeller fabric, which happens to be my favorite type of fabric when it comes to shorts & pants because of their breathability, stretch, and super toughness. It doesn't feel like I'm even wearing shorts when I'm climbing. the pockets are cut so they fit underneath a climbing harness. You will not regret buying these shorts since they will last for many years. These are also stylish for street wear & for hiking.
