Measuring Guide & Fit Styles

To get the most accurate measurement, use a flexible measuring tape and use the measuring guide info below.

• CHEST / BUST - measure under your arms around the fullest part of your chest.

• WAIST - measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.

• HIPS - measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.

• INSEAM - choose a pair of pants that fits you well and is true to size, hitting at the top of the foot. Measure the inseam from crotch seam to the bottom of the hem.

• GLOVES - for the circumference measure around a flat hand at the knuckles, but do NOT include the thumb. For the hand length measure your hand from the base of your palm to the end of your middle finger. Use the larger of the two measurements to select your OR glove size.

• HATS - measure around your head where the headwear would be expected to fit comfortably.

The OR fit styles detailed below are determined by intended usage and sport-specific design. All OR outerwear and apparel is categorized into one of these fit styles. You can find more info about the fit of a style in the product FEATURES or SPECIFICATIONS.

• TRIM FIT - close-cut apparel that moves with the wearer.

• STANDARD FIT - a looser fit for comfort in both technical and casual apparel.

• RELAXED FIT - baggy-cut layers designed for the wearer to move within.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will keep you warm and dry when all else fails Used these on Rainier this weekend, definitely a MUST when getting on the upper mountain. My other gloves started to fail after about 12500 ft, and I put these bad boys on and felt great the rest of the way. Also used them when just sitting around camp at cold hours. I love the removable inner layer, those alone are really warm and offer slightly more dexterity than having both layers on. the outer layer can be useful for covering your feet on cold nights as well! Love these things. I have big hands cause I'm a big 6'5 guy, and the XL size is very spacious. Probably could've gone with a Large. Taking these to Ararat this summer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super warm I have always gotten cold hands, but not anymore. These mitts kept my hands warm in subzero temperatures and high winds, and I will take them on all cold trips in the future. My hands are a little restricted when wearing them since they are mitts, but they are as dexterous as any mitt I've tried. The cord cinches to maintain a tight fit around the wrist and keep the snow/rain out. They have been fully waterproof in my experience. On the fit, they run true to size and maybe a tad bigger. I chose these over the Arcteryx mitts, mostly because of the better gripping ability I found in the OR mitts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These Things Would Make Snowmen Sweat. I am known for my icy cold hands even in the heat of summer, I have poor circulation to my hands which makes for a big problem in all my winter expeditions. Bought these for hopes of resolution for my poor fingers. Got much more than I paid for! -30 with 20mph winds and my hands were sweating! I have never worn a glove so warm in all my life. On extreme cold nights I even pull the insulated liners out and wear them in my bag. Probably one of the best investments you'll ever make.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warmest mittens out there I bought these mittens because I would always have cold hands when temperatures were below freezing. These mittens have kept my hands warm in everything from frigid Wisconsin winters to the summit of Mt Rainier. I have always worn them on January climbs of Mt. Whitney and Mt. Shasta. If you have ever had cold hands or expect to be in situations where you might in the future, you should buy these. I refuse to go anywhere cold without them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Insanely Warm These are bomber gloves that I can't recommend enough. While they are spendy, I've never had a warmer pair of gloves/mitts. As someone prone to cold hands in many of the other gloves that I've owned, I find that the waterproof warmth that these gloves offer is spectacular. I also love the versatility of being able to wear the waterproof shell, the insulated liner, or both together as conditions merit. They fit fairly true to size and offer a good amount of room for finger movement. As far as durability, I've had them for about a year and they still look like new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny! These are the best and warmest mitts I have ever stuck my hands in. All of my trekking buddies would say the same thing. Although they are not cheap, they are well worth the investment!
