Don't let the daypack size fool you, the Osprey Women's Sirrus 24 Pack has all of the toughness and quality found in backcountry packs. With a harness that our commmenting custys love, a stretch mesh backpanel, and a hipbelt, this bag has got your back when it comes to comfort. (That was an intentional super punny pun.) Access your gear from the large panel access, the two mesh pockets on the sides and hipbelt pockets. Keep that gear tied down and the bag low profile with the various compression components on the top of the bag and on the side mesh pockets. This bag is hydration compatible. Constructed of ripstop nylon, this bag has all of the durability of a much larger bag, too. This pack is a daypack version of your favorite backcountry pack.

"Perfect for day hikes and adventures where you don't need to carry a lot!"
I already owned a Osprey backpack for overnights trips when I purchased this day pack, so I already loved the Osprey brand. The only major downside to this pack I've found is that it is small. But you can opt for the larger size if you want more room. I've found that it's big enough to carry plenty of water, snacks, extra layers, and other necessities like a headlamp and first aid kit. It keeps me from overpacking on a day hike. The pockets on the hip belt and the shoulder straps are nicely placed and are so useful! I also love the mesh pockets on the side. There are enough pockets that I can keep my items organized and easily accessible without going overboard.
I have owned an Osprey pack previously so was looking forward to this one arriving in the mail. The fit of this pack is much better than the my older one. It has plenty of room for a long day hike, plus some. I took it on my first hike this past weekend and also used it as my book bag for school. Overall I am very happy with this product!
"Perfect for all things, except maybe biking"
I've been searching for the perfect backpack for my bike commute to work. It appears I am very picky. While this is a lightweight backpack with plenty of handy storage options, the straps are not as flexible as I would like. The thick straps didn't give for my narrow shoulders and rubbed my neck awkwardly. However, the sturdy straps are most likely a wonderful feature to those wanting to use this for hiking or other activities. So all in all, great pack just not what this finicky biker was looking for.
This is the best daypack I've every worn. I wanted to try the Sirrus 24, but was thinking it was going to be too small. I was pleasantly surprised at how much space is inside the pack. I can fit everything I need for a 3-day hiking trip. I love the way the straps hug my body, which keeps my arms from rubbing against them while hiking. When measuring for fit, my spine was 17" so I ordered a small and a medium to see which fit best. The small hip belt actually rested above my navel, so I decided to go with the medium, which put the hip belt comfortably beneath my navel. This pack is super comfortable, breathable, and I even like the nice purple color. I'm loving Osprey!
The Sirrus 24 Pack is wonderful! I'm 5'4'' and ordered the small. The bag sits just above my butt so I can attach gear underneath if needed. I use it daily for caring my climbing gear to and from the gym, as well as weekend climbing trips. The inner frame is great for stability and the back is breathable and cool. Though, if you are looking for a larger bag upgrade to the 36. You won't regret this purchase!
"If you have girl power you need this!!!"
I've used this bag for everything from day hikes to mom/daughter trips to the beach. It's a perfect size for needed gear along with my camera. The color is great, which helps keep me looking good on the trail. Lol. The compression straps allow you to carry smaller loads & pull it smaller. All & all this is a must have if you are the outdoorsy type chick or the big city girl who needs to get around!
This pack is great! I was sick of day packs that have flimsy harnesses. The Sirrus has a really comfortable harness, no more bruised hip bones! The pack is just the right size to fit my SLR camera, a small tripod, a fleece and food/water for a day trip. The pack itself is very light but extremely tough, it's come through a few hill slides unscathed! The zipped pockets on the harness are big enough to fit sunglasses, a map and trail mix, all those things you want quick access to. The built-in rain cover is super handy. Overall I'm extremely happy with this pack.
This day pack is amazing. I was sick of day packs with uncomfortable harnesses. The Sirrus is super comfy, no more bruised hip bones! It's just the right size to fit my SLR camera, small tripod, a fleece and food and water for a day trip. The zip pockets on the harness are big enought for sunscreen, sunglasses, a map and some trailmix, all those things that are handy to have quick access to! The built-in rain cover has come in handy on several occasions. All in all, a great day pack!
I have three different osprey packs. One for when I hike the AT at the end of this month. The sirrus ( the pack listed up above) great for day hikes! Osprey isn't just a quality brand, the company will replace any pack that malfunctions ( as long as its the product and not the user) Never in my life heard one bad thing about this company.
