Gear and water: what else could you need for biking or trail running? Other than clothes and shoes and hopefully underwear. But that's not the point. The Osprey Raptor 14 Daypack holds the essentials without weighing you down. The included water reservoir holds 3 liters of water, while the gear pockets and straps hold helmets and other bike-specific gear. The AirScape suspension keeps you nice and cool while doing intense activity, and the built-in hipbelt provides extra support.

I don't know where the sexy comes from but this pack rocks. The clip for the hydration system allows me to drink quickly while on the move. Also the ventilation system on the back helps with back sweat. Nobody likes back sweat...

"Had this for over a year, use it almost every day" 08/30/12

Whether im shoving some clothes in it for a commute, packing up school stuff, or taking a long bike ride, this pack ahs held up may mundane adventures. Still looks like the day I got it, and the resevoir has no leaks or anything. Great bag! Get one!

"I use it for everything" 04/26/12

take the bladder out for the daily bike commute, stuff a days worth of clothes for a couch surf or day trip, or even use it as a pillow when sent to the doghouse!The form fits my body style very well, although i did try a couple brands before i got the right comfort. Had it for a year+ now and it is still in one piece.. goin' strong!

"Fits like a pack should" 02/03/12

I am using this pack to train for a 50 mile ultra-marathon. This thing is great, it fits well and doesn't bounce. The 3 L hydration system is perfect for my long runs. there is plenty of storage for extra socks, food, clothing, and a beer for my end of run celebration. The waist belt sits comfortably where it should with no sliding. All and All the perfect pack for any adventure.

"Love this pack!!" 01/27/12

My old Jansport hydration pack finally kicked the bucket and this is the replacement. It's like watching HD television for the first time. I had no idea what I was missing! It's so comfortable I hardly even realize it's there! The hard liner on the bladder is great and makes it so simple to slide the fully bladder into the pack, unlike other packs where it is all flimsy. All of the pockets are perfectly suited for mountain bike tools, tubes, and parts. The top soft pocket is perfect for your cell phone, ipod etc. and is very easy to get in and out of. I would buy one in every color if I were worried about my wardrobe choices...

"Great Day Pack/Hydration Pack for Humans" 10/01/11

I lived in Tucson AZ and needed a pack with big hydration and storage for day hiking both the desert and surrounding sky islands (Santa Ritas and Santa Catalinas). This pack has worked out very well. It has a good number of pockets for stashing items (snacks, light jacket, gps, etc.) It has good support with the chest and waist straps. The hydration bladder is very large (100 oz) and I like it much better than the camelback bladders I have used in the past, this one is made by Nalgene. The materials seems to be very durable and I feel that this pack will wear well and last many seasons. Recommend this pack to friends and foes!

"Great "Go Bag", Perfect for Day Hikes with the Family" 06/11/11

I use this pack constantly for day hikes and camping with my family. I got it as a replacement for a Camelbak that crapped out on me, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to switch. This pack has a ton of room for gear, and it's still comfortable to carry all day. I have plenty of room to keep this bag packed with the essentials, plus a few extras...and with the internal structure, I don't feel like I'm dying under the weight of my pack. Keeping it realistic, 3L of water plus gear is heavy, but this pack is made to handle the load. I love the bladder on this pack, since it has a rigid back itself, it doesn't collapse as the water level drops. Fantatic pack, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

"Great "GO BAG", Perfect for Day Hikes with the Family" 06/11/11

I got this bag as a replacement for an old Camelbak that crapped out. This bag has a TON of room for gear, and the best part is, you can load it up...and it's still comfortable. I keep this packed with a lot of essentials, and it handles the load with ease. I love the self supported bladder. It doesn't collapse as the water level goes down like many other types of bladders. Be warned, with 3 L of water, it does get heavy, but the pack has a great support structure that allows you to move with ease. One of my favorite features is the vented back. It keeps the pack off of you enough that you're not sweating like a pig while hiking your favorite trails. Highly recommend!

"Great pack" 05/12/11

I bought this pack for my wife, a field biologist who has spent most of her days hiking around the Ecuadorian Andes and Amazon rainforest for the last 10 months. No, we haven't actually used it for cycling all that much. But when we did, she said it fit snug and felt great. After a year of serious use/abuse, this pack shows no signs of breaking down. The side pockets hold a 16 oz bottle very snugly. Interiorly, the organization pockets are really nice to keep equipment organized and easy to find. The small pocket at the top works perfectly to stash a cell phone, wallet, and sunglasses. One negative point is that the pockets on the hip straps aren't so good at holding things.

"Perfect for Mountain Biking" 03/27/11

I purchased the Raptor 14 Silt Grey in a M/L. I am 5'9", 170 lbs and it fit great. The construction of the pack is very comfortable even with a full reservoir and breathes well. The pockets offer a variety of items you can pack for going out on the trails including a spare tube and tools. I like to pack a minimum of 4 snickers bars too. The waist band was a little loose even at its tightest setting. The magnet that holds the mouth piece is great but it could be a little stronger. The helmet Lidlock strap is a great. I swear I buy these items just for the little things like that...

"I'll have another" 12/20/10

I've only used this twice hiking and snowshoeing since receiving it. I think this will be my new permanent day pack. I bought the M/L and being 6'3", it fits me fine. If, for some reason, you like to cary the weight on your hips, and you're taller than me, it probably won't work out too well. The M/L would be perfect for someone 6', in my opinion.You can make this pack very small if you use the compression straps. Or you can loosen everything up and fit quite a lot in this pack.The bladder system is fantastic. Very rigid, easy to fill, and zero taste to the water....and no leaks!I would buy another in a heartbeat.
