The Osprey Poco Premium Pack is the creme de la creme of child carriers. The Poco series features three different packs, and the Premium is the fanciest of them all. Forget carrying your child on your hip or attempting to push a stroller through the woods, you can now bring the little one along on your back, safely and securely. Set the pack down on the aluminum frame and tuck little Timmy into the child harness, adjusting as necessary. Fill the daypack with diapers, bottles, toys and extra layers as necessary. The adult harness and hipbelt adjusts for whichever adult is doing the child-lugging, so once it's set, hoist the pack-with-child onto the back and explore the woods! Convenient drool-pad keeps as much drool as possible off the back of your neck and when you need to make a pit stop, a padded changing pad is available so you don't have to place your kid's head on a pile of leaves.

Please note that the info provided above refers to the torso size each pack will fit, and NOT any dimensions of the pack. Below are some steps for how to get your torso length. You should probably have someone help take this measurement for you so it is accurate. And they might accidentally touch your butt.

• Start at the iliac crest, which is the top of the hipbones on the side of your body. These act like a shelf for supporting a pack hipbelt.
• From this level on your spine, measure to the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck when you put your head down.
• Make sure you keep your back as straight as possible while measuring.
• This torso measurement determines what size Osprey pack you should carry. Refer to the size charts above to find your ideal size.
• If you are in between sizes, it is ideal to try them both on before ordering.

• Measure around your hips at your iliac crest, NOT your waist.
• A properly fitted hipbelt rides centered over the hipbones and needs to be very snug.
• The padded portion should wrap well around your hips, leaving a gap of 3 to 6 inches between the tips of the both hip pads when securely tightened.
• Refer to the Hipbelts size chart above to help determine your ideal Osprey pack size, but again, your torso length is what should determine your pack size, NOT the hipbelt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for toddlers So far, so good...we love it! The adjustable straps for me and my child were a requirement when I researched packs as well as the overall safety factor. Osprey has met my expectations with this product!,,,,Numerous packs offer the padding against the back and around the waist, which is comfortable in some conditions, but it does not allow for air flow in order to cool contact points. The webbing design of the Osprey is sturdy and allows an open-air condition to reduce sweat. This feature was one of the "selling factors.",,,,Yes, there are numerous child carriers on the market, but if you want what is best for your child, I highly recommend the Osprey Poco Plus or Premium.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My newest go-to piece of travel equipment! It doesn't take more than a second to adjust the pack to fit you or your passenger's preferences. The built in sunshade works as advertised. I wont use the changing pad that is included since it is kind of annoying to put back into it's storage spot. The removable pack is small and dainty and wont fit my frame. The only down side to this purchase was that I had to order the optional rainfly from another website. My daughter absolutely loves it and due to how comfortable and mobile I feel using it, I have decide that the next time I have to travel overseas I am using the Poco instead of a stroller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kid Loves It Kid loves it and so do I. Adjustable enough to go from me (190 lbs) to my wife (120 lbs) with just a few pulls of a couple straps. Enough storage to ensure this is the only pack on a day trip. Shade cover is probably the best feature on the pack, easy up and easy down, and protects the kid to perfection. I haven't abused it as far as trying to destroy it, but built like tank. Lighter then most regular packs I have worn (Without the kid in it). ,,,,If you want your child to experience the outdoors, this is the best option. Comfort, durability, and mobility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just in case you need to bring the kid and everything he/she owns. This thing is large. No way around it. It will double your front to back footprint. The good thing is you have lots of room for gear. The detatchable pack is great for overnight cloths and such. I would leave it attached to the pack though. It is too small to carry around whithout being made fun of. The child section has many straps and buckles to secure them in for a custom fit. With the built in sunshade you save $30 and have a place to store it in between uses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Great Pack This is normally earlier than I like to review items, but I've had this for about a month now and have gone on 2 hikes (4 mile, 1500ft gain and 6 mile, 2000ft gain). Both hikes I had a great experience with the pack. I like to carry a 25-40 lb pack on my hikes normally so this helps me do that pretty easy with a 20lb baby in there! When I first got the pack there are a few different features than I have had on other packs being a child/baby carrier, it took about an hour to get a good feel for all of the features on the pack, so take the time to get to know them. The pack is really comfortable and easily adjustable on the move which was great to shift the weight from my shoulders and upper body to my waist and lower body when I needed to. My baby is 11 months old and did great in this, she loved it. She is even able to sleep in it on our hikes which we all know is a must to keep our sanity. She looked like she stayed comfortable in the saddle as well. The adjustments for her seemed to fit her pretty well, although I had them all on almost the smallest adjustment, so I don't think a much smaller baby would fit, she weighs about 21 lbs, roughly 25" I think. The kickstand is really easy to reach to open and close and the grab handle is really solid lifting the pack up and down. The undercarriage is great space for all of the babies needs and water bottles for me. The side stretch pockets were nice for smaller items. The sunshade worked great, be careful taking it off though as the snaps are bungees to stretch and spring back fast if you don't hold on as you're taking it off and can hit your baby. The changing pad worked great, although isn't very big, so hopefully you can keep your little one from squirming. The pack is very adjustable to fit all sizes of people I feel like, I am 5'11", 170 and I carried it on the shorter side of the medium adjustment, there are also XS, S, and L so I think it would fit a pretty tall/big guy as well as small women. I haven't added the water reservoir yet, but plan too, so I'm hoping that fits well, I believe it says 2L compatible and looks like there is room for one. I also haven't taken the daypack off, but it seems like a decent little bag, but is pretty small so don't be surprised if you hear fannypack references when carrying it on your back. Good luck and I hope I gave enough detail to help others out like me looking to take their little ones on some fun adventures and keeping your active lifestyle going with a little one. I really didn't have anything negative to comment on so far, other than maybe that I wish I would have more to report on the water because if it doesn't fit well, that is a big negative to me. However, I am an Osprey guy and I love my Aether 70, best packed I've owned and my entire military issued camelback fits in that reservoir pocket, so I'm hoping they have carried that over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Carrier and Well Worth The Money When I was researching this pack I came across another top competitor. However, I already owned an Osprey water pack and loved the functionality and space. ,,,,Once I received the order, I was impressed by the look of comfort and compartment space this pack offers. I immediately fitted it for my two year old son. There is a lot of adjustments that can be made to not only fit my sons body but also mine.,,,,Later on in the week, I was able to take him for a walk around one of our neighborhood lake trails. The neighbors smiled as I went by because my son looked like a king and I was the slave carrying him on my back. The sunshade worked very well and it was very comfortable for my son. ,,,,One of the things I would suggest if taking you little one on long hikes in the summer is to wear clothing that isn't cotton. Because of the padding and child restraints of the carrier, it insulates body heat. One good option is to invest in one of those Velcro straps that tethers a water bottle.
