Please note that the info provided above refers to the torso size each pack will fit, and NOT any dimensions of the pack. Below are some steps for how to get your torso length. You should probably have someone help take this measurement for you so it is accurate. And they might accidentally touch your butt.

• Start at the iliac crest, which is the top of the hipbones on the side of your body. These act like a shelf for supporting a pack hipbelt.
• From this level on your spine, measure to the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck when you put your head down.
• Make sure you keep your back as straight as possible while measuring.
• This torso measurement determines what size Osprey pack you should carry. Refer to the size charts above to find your ideal size.
• If you are in between sizes, it is ideal to try them both on before ordering.

• Measure around your hips at your iliac crest, NOT your waist.
• A properly fitted hipbelt rides centered over the hipbones and needs to be very snug.
• The padded portion should wrap well around your hips, leaving a gap of 3 to 6 inches between the tips of the both hip pads when securely tightened.
• Refer to the Hipbelts size chart above to help determine your ideal Osprey pack size, but again, your torso length is what should determine your pack size, NOT the hipbelt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a back pack I use for my daily commute to work and back. I use this pack everyday to carry the essentials, laptop, tablet pc, phone chargers, and still room left for clothes. There are a few compartments, some with elastic on the inside so there is ample storage for small items. Backpack is comfortable to wear for extended periods, I have done a day hike with it, and performed great (the backpack worked good too). My only complaint is the color. The pic looks black, but it is silver and grey in this dimension, but at least it isn't snot color bamboo. I make the silver and grey look good so I kept it. It is a lot lighter in color than the picture, so it shows dirt more, but nothing a little cleaning can't fix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Features Make This Backpack Versatile Excellent pack that is just as comfortable hauling your stuff to work on your bicycle as it is hopping on a jet and traveling around the world.,,Pros: ,,-Separate laptop compartment fits even the largest laptops, however larger laptops will not fit inside the sleeve inside the compartment.,,-Ability to pack all the straps inside the bag make it perfect for use as a carry-on,,-U-Lock Pocket works great to stuff small items into with quick access.,,Cons: ,,-Laptop sleeve did not fit HP DV7t,,-Smartphone pouch on strap does not hold larger phones,,-Water bottle pouches do not hold larger water bottles

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you find a better daypack, propose to it. I'm an avid cyclist (road racing + hipster city fixed gear riding), so this pack appealed from a commuting/gear lugging perspective - that "Lidlock" helmet holder thingamajig is unbelievable. When it arrived, it had pretty tremendous capacity, so I decided it would accompany me on a Europe trip. Though my wife would not relinquish her airplane seat for my pack, it fit in the overhead and under the seat in front of me on two different size planes. It was a large enough carry-on for a few days of clothes and accessories as we tripped between cities in the EU, and it even expands an additional couple inches that I didn’t even use. I snapped a picture of it holding its own in the Munich airport.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bike Commuters Delight! If you are a bike commuter this bag is for you! I bike to work everyday and bike to offsite locations to do IT repairs. This bag has so much room I have delivered countless laptops and slimline desktop computers to people with it. Raining out? No problem it has an awesome raincoat of its own! It is also great for those biking camping adventures too and traveling the world. This bag has been to Korea, Germany, California, Colorado, and Florida. If you are seeking a bag that can handle all of your gear and do it in style I would recommend this bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for daily commute or travel This bag is my everyday tote for groceries, computer, and all the stuff I need for the day. I also use it for my main suitcase. It can be checked because it isn't too strappy, but it easily fits in the overhead bin on an aircraft. The backpack straps make it ideal for bicycle, motorcycle, trains and walking. Unlike a trekking backpack, it sits flat on it's base so I can put it between my feet on the floor. The bag is comfortable if I need to hold it in my lap. I find the back pad comfortable and it provides enough of a frame to keep the load under control. The expansion panel adds the extra space I need for extended travel gear. With 2 computer sleeves, there is protected space for all my electronics. This is my favorite bag ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything the Osprey said about this pack is totally true. So I am not a large person (5' 8'') and was worried that the 34 would be too large, so I ordered the S/M of it. Thankfully it was not; I would even consider getting the M/L if I had to choose again. Either way this pack is great for biking around and it can still hold a ton of stuff. All the options pointed out on the Osprey website are here and the only thing I have against it is that there is sometimes a lot of straps flying around and coming up with a way to clamp those loose straps down would be nice. I love this thing nonetheless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Excellent I absolutely love this backpack. I bought it to use as a weekend type bag for smaller trips and it is perfect. It can swallow a few days worth of clothes, computer, books, etc. It is very comfortable and has a plethora of straps, buckles and pockets. I wish there was a side mesh pocket for a water bottle, but if that's the only grip I'll take it.,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought the Pack for school! This a great versatile pack that lets me use it when I am hiking and out with my friends and also when I need it for school. The laptop pocket is extra protected and I love that the pack stay compact.
