OSPREY MEASUREMENT GUIDE

Please note that the info provided above refers to the torso size each pack will fit, and NOT any dimensions of the pack. Below are some steps for how to get your torso length. You should probably have someone help take this measurement for you so it is accurate. And they might accidentally touch your butt.

HOW TO MEASURE TORSO LENGTH:
• Start at the iliac crest, which is the top of the hipbones on the side of your body. These act like a shelf for supporting a pack hipbelt.
• From this level on your spine, measure to the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck when you put your head down.
• Make sure you keep your back as straight as possible while measuring.
• This torso measurement determines what size Osprey pack you should carry. Refer to the size charts above to find your ideal size.
• If you are in between sizes, it is ideal to try them both on before ordering.

HOW TO MEASURE HIPBELT SIZE:
• Measure around your hips at your iliac crest, NOT your waist.
• A properly fitted hipbelt rides centered over the hipbones and needs to be very snug.
• The padded portion should wrap well around your hips, leaving a gap of 3 to 6 inches between the tips of the both hip pads when securely tightened.
• Refer to the Hipbelts size chart above to help determine your ideal Osprey pack size, but again, your torso length is what should determine your pack size, NOT the hipbelt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best pack ever - i use it everyday for everything I love this pack. I have been using mine pretty much every day for 2 years and it is great quality. For a small pack, it distributes supprisingly heavy loads really well. The ski carrying system works great, my skiis don't move around at all when I am hiking and the loops haven't work out even though they rub on a sharper edge of my bindings. The straps fit really well and the internal sections work too keep your stuff up high and flat aginst your back where you want it. I use it for trail running and long hikes. I like to use the snowboard straps to carry my climbing rope or anything weird shaped. Its also makes a great pillow when you have stuff in it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from exactly what we was looking for We ski! We love to Ski! Bought this for my wife and she loves it, I wish I had one just like it but I cant get this one back from her. this pack is everything you need for cold weather activites, I personally would get this Kode38 if I was doing any overnight stuff but for a daily ski pack this is the VERY BEST you can get. I love the insulated water tube thing. I just wish I could get myself one, oh hell im going to order one for xmas. dont forget to order the snow shovel and probe to top this pack off. Seriously this is the best ski pack out there!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Pack for Winter Use Got for carrying snowshoes, does that awesomely. Very roomy, was debating between this one and the Kode 38, and Arc'teryx Silo 30/40. Happy I went with this one, saving my self some $$. I really like the two separate compartments for bigger storage and that you can access it without taking the pack off. Helmet carry is nice and I find it useful for carrying my bike helmet when I am snowshoeing and not snowbiking. Seems rugged and if something does go wrong you have Osprey's warranty. Two thumbs up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Pack for packing your boards into the backcountry Like all the Osprey packs I've bought, this is a well made, well designed pack. It holds your skis nice and tight while climbing up the mountain and stays in place well on the way down. Its be enough to hold all the layers and avy gear your need for a day in the backcountry along with being hydration compatible with an insulated shoulder strap to keep your hose from freezing. the big zipper pulls make opening the bag with gloves on easy. This bag rocks. You should buy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome pack, as always Osprey Delivers My husband got this for his job this winter in Washington state and is putting this pack through it's paces being out in the snow slush and everything else every single day. Pack performs great, provides good support and carries weight well while not preventing him from moving however he needs to. Lots of great pockets, great wet/dry division has been fantastic for him and the insulated camelback carrier works amazingly well (we were both a bit doubtful).
