The Mountain Hardwear Women's Yuma II Convertible Pant is a hiking pant that converts to a short after unzipping a couple of zippers. Head out into the wilderness in the lightweight Switchback softshell, a fabric content of 88% nylon and 12% elastane that holds up to the outdoors and will move when you do. The relaxed fit won't cling and the Micro-Chamois™-lined waistband is comfortable against the skin with and without a pack. Cinch the pant leg with the hidden adjustable cord in the hem to block out debris, or unzip the bottom half when the heat turns up to reveal a 16" inseam short. A durable water repellent finish prevents water from soaking into the fabric surface, so you can power through a light rain without digging out your rain pant. Slip-in hand pockets and zippered cargo pockets keep smaller essentials at hand.

FEATURES of the Mountain Hardwear Women's Yuma II Convertible Pant

  • Soft drawcord at waist for easy fit adjustments
  • Full length inseam gusset for mobility
  • Adjustable drawcord hidden inside hem to cinch pant leg
  • Convert to shorts with an 16" inseam

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 24/7 pant. Hiking, nursing and weekend pant Bought these for a 21 day New Zealand adventure trip. Length is great, pants soft, nice stretch to them for movement. 2 snaps for buckle with nice tie string. Waistband is the best. Good for your regular days and those bloating days, comfortable any day.Repels water, washes great. I can wear them 3 days in a row and they still look great, maybe even 4 days! Plan on bringing only these two pair of pants to New Zealand for light weight backpack. Oh yea, Love them so much ordered more and use them as part of my nursing uniform at the hospital. I got the size 12 and convertible for winter and summer. Basically true to size with snaps and tie string can make waist tighter if needed. I tried on so many different pants at other stores and by far these were the best. Will never, ever go to anything else. It's like wearing, well, NOTHING !!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Monkey Arms I bought this pant a few years ago before they changed the design and was sad to see that they discontinued what I believed to be a good original design. I ordered this pant knowing that it would not be the same. The pockets are positioned lower on the legs and they are much smaller than the original design. This would be ok if I had monkey arms and if I never used the cargo pockets for their intended use. But I don't have monkey arms and I buy pocketed (cargo) style for their functionality, not just for looks. The things I still like about the Yuma pant are the drawstring function, the stretchy breathable / water repellant fabric and the option for a longer in seam size. Overall, I will continue to purchase this pant because I believe it's worth the money. The last pair (original design) has lasted almost 8 years and I still use them frequently with rough wear. I still wish they would revert to the original design but for now I will gladly find happiness with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hiking pants I've tried! This is my second pair (the first lasted 3+ years and countless hikes and backpacking trips). The waist lining is key to comfort, it has never chafed after hours with my pack on. I love having a tie so that I don't have have carry a belt. They are durable, dry quickly, and are comfy to boot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the style Many of the convertible pants have are pretty short when you zip them off. I like the fact that it is a little longer. Nice fabric too. Haven't tried them out on the trail yet but will be soon when I take them on a vacation to Colorado

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants Love these new pants, they have great pockets for keys, cell phone, etc. They are stretchy and are light weight. Certainly they've worked very well for travel and they look like nice slacks.
