"Super comfy, seriously well designed for hiking in!" 06/21/12

Love these bad boys! Have a pair of north face paramount hike pants, and between them and these I rarely am wearing anything else. These are much less of a stiff material than the north face. Both are nylon, but these have a silky feeling material that moves easier, but without any less durability. Fantastic quick drying that I can attest to when doing rain walks. One thing I have noticed, is that these appear to be much warmer than the north face ones. Nice inner lining I put it down to! Love them and will buy again in 7 years when they've finally worn out!I'm 6'4, 175lbs and bought a medium/medium. Length and width is perfect!

"First Pair I bought when i started backpacking and still strong" 07/15/11

This is the product for anyone, it serves all types of purposes, backpacking, lounging, chill, fishing, anything! The are crazy light and fit like a dream for me. I am thinking about getting another pair, Get em, you wont regret it.

"Comfortable - great fit" 04/19/11

These are extremely nice convertible pants. Much nicer material than the average convertible! Zipper works great! Could use larger pockets, but still very nice. Mountain hardwear products are great!

"Everything I've been looking for in quality convertible hiking pants." 04/19/11

With most other pants I'm between an L or XL because I need the XL length but NOT the XL waste. I'm 6'2" 200lbs, so I was glad to see the length options in these. The L long is perfect. The quality and features of these are great. The side zips, for putting on over boots, are not too short like others I've tried. The material seems very durable without being too heavy, and its reinforced in crucial areas to make these superb for backpacking/hiking in the back country. I also plan to use these for all the international travel I do. Didn't know if I'd keep these when I ordered them(they're pricey), but MH has again made a product worth the $. These are keepers!

"Good but not as good as earlier versions" 11/12/10

This pant is an evolution of earlier designs by Mountain Hardware. Frankly, this pant is OK but the pair I bought about 3 years ago is still going strong, seems to have a sturdier fabric, better heft and hand, better fit, and greater comfort. I bought this pair as a spare... not sure yet if I will keep them though.

"A Tough and Comfortable Hiking Pants" 11/06/10

No this isn't an oxymoron. So if you are backpacking, slack packing or even just hanging out somewhere, you will appreciate the comfort and toughness of these pants. These won't shred like those light weight jobbies going through bramble, rock climbing or lunching on some granite rocks. The fit is true, even if you are not. They are roomy but not baggy so they cut down on wind resistance when moving fast and or tumbling down a mountain.

"Baggy, droopy, and not as great as I had hoped" 10/26/10

The fit is pretty sloppy - baggy and droopy. Too much of a polyester feel with a bit of "sheen" that feels cheap. The zipper placement (for the pant legs) rubs just above my knee and is pretty uncomfortable when I walk. Built in belt sucks - when I tighten it up, it rises above the snap/waistline in front. No belt loops to use a real belt with. Should have worn them around the house for an afternoon with the tags so I could return them - now I am stuck with some REALLY expensive Matterhorn shorts...

"Better than Mesa Pants IMHO" 08/12/10

I wanted a extra pair of pants for my backcountry trip. I loved these so much I didnt even cary my beloved Mesa Pants (also from Mountain Hardware). Yeah they got dirty since but I gave them a dip in lakes and creeks. They dry as fast as anything on the market. They are a bit heavier than Mesa's extra zippers and more rugged design. Worth the weight and money. Get THEM.
