Body Fit - A body-hugging fit for aerobic activities. Ideal for running, skate skiing and next-to-skin layering.

Active Fit - A trim fit, and just loose enough for layering and freedom of movement. Ideal for backcountry skiing, climbing, mountaineering, running, and training.

Standard Fit - A happy medium fit that is not too tight, and not too loose. Standard fitting apparel will fit over base and mid-layers without restricting movement. Ideal for backpacking, hiking, travel, work, and casual wear.

Relaxed Fit - A roomier and more progressive fit, Mountain Hardwear relaxed styles might have a longer length than a standard fit, and a softer drape. Ideal for backpacking, hiking, skiing, and good old fashioned hanging out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quite warm, very light and compressable, fits well under a shell. The material of this jacket has been more durable than I expected it would be. Despite less-than-cautious use I have yet to do any damage other than a couple marks from flying embers which didn't burn through. The only complaint I have is that the elastic in the cuffs doesn't stay flat and the sleeves are just a tiny bit too short. There's no lack of function, just a different fit than I'm used to/princess and the pea situation. I find myself often fiddling with the cuffs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight packable warm This jacket is perfect for Canadian winters under a shell. On its own, your good until a bit below freezing.,,,,I use this under an Arc'Teryx Stingray shell for skiing in cold Canadian mountains. You would likely not want to wear this for a more physical activity such as snowshoeing.,,,,This fit is slim like most Mountain Hardwear. Quality is A1.,,,,This is comparable to the NorthFace Redpoint

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Warm and very comfortable but material could be thicker and more tear resistant. I spend alot of time walking through wooded areas. This jacket seems like it would not hold up well in a twig snag situation. I loved the comfort level and fit. The jacket is also warm but I don't think it would stand up well against high winds and very low temperatures. It would make a good and warm under layer that you could eaily pack away when you don't need the extra insulation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed Have owned this for nearly a year. Fit is perfect. I have used this hiking/backpacking year-round. Synthetic fill so it is a natural for the shoulder seasons in mixed precipitation. in the northern climes.
