DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. It's cute to think of a fabric as being afraid of water. Now if only they could make a bearphobic coating. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR PACK FIT GUIDE and INFO

• Determine the correct pack size by measuring from the top of your hip shelf to the C7 vertebrae, which is the protruding bump at the base of the neck.

• If you think you are between pack sizes, consider how and when you will be using the pack. For example, if you will be using the pack primarily in the winter, when more and bulkier clothing is required, you may opt to size up.

• You can find Torso Range and other size information in the description FEATURES or SPECIFICATIONS for each Mountain Hardwear pack. You can also refer to the size guide below to compare the current season packs by category.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bag! Great bag! Super warm (it is up to -15) but doesn't get to warm even in warmer weather (20s/30s). Bag itself is super soft and very roomy. If your a side sleeper, there's room for you to move around over the course of the night. With a good stuff sack, the bag compacts very well as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from VERY warm, comfy, durable! Bought this to extend my hiking season into the braver months! The first few times I used it, I kept wondering why it was wet when I woke up....if you're planning on staying out more than one night, use a vapor barrier liner to prevent body heat/moisture from condensing IN the down. This down bag will last forever (I've been using it 3 years and it's still "new"), but if it's wet it won't insulate. Depending on how cold it is, it might not get so wet to become an issue but I recommend playing it safe. In addition, a VBL will add 10-15 degrees to your bag and you can leave the silk/fleece/other liner at home. *FAVE FEATURE* is the two way zip. I can throw my boot liners/socks in the bottom without having to get out of the bag. When it's warmer (like, 15F!), the bottom zip is great for ventilation. Honestly, I use this bag in temps below 20F and just ventilate with zips and de-layering as needed. If you want to invest in a warm(er) bag, this is a good light warm option!
