My pretty really likes to wear hats when we’re playing outdoors, hiking, at the beach, or fixing up our shack. She didn’t really know what type of hat she should buy, so I bought her two hats with only the letter "C" on them because her last name starts with a "C." I got her a Chicago Cubs hat and a Cincinnati Reds hat, which didn’t make a whole lot of sense because she doesn’t care about baseball at all, and those teams are rivals in the same division. She still wears them lots though, which is nice.

Then I was going to get her a Yankees hat because she lived in New York in the late 1990’s when they won three straight World Series. I figured she’d be excited about this, but she had no idea the Yankees had won three straight World Series while she lived there. Apparently parties and parades in the NYC are so common you don’t even care or notice what they’re for after you’ve lived there awhile.

Then I got her the Dr. Petra von Kant Cap from Moosejaw and her status promptly escalated to an Uber Pretty. Now when we hike I just stare at her the whole time, so I miss out on all the scenery and trip over things a lot. When she wears the hat when working on the shack, I often hurt myself with tools, power or otherwise.
