Rated 5 out of 5 by from I will never own another daypack in my life Esteban has been all over the world with me and is hands down the best backpack on the market. Every pocket is perfectly placed, making organization easy. It's extremely comfortable and has pretty much every feature you would ever need in almost any situation. I used it throughout college (laptop sleeve, tablet sleeve, pen slots, side drink holders) for mountaineering (hook for a camelback bladder, loops for ice axe, clips that can secure rope, durable material for holding crampons without tearing) for traveling (secret passport pocket, tons of pockets for compartmentalizing stuff, very spacious, not to mention stylish) and everything in between. My one and only complaint is that it doesn't have a waist belt, which I have found myself wanting during steep hikes, rock climbing, and mountain biking. Also the side pockets have started to rip and the logo is starting to fade off, but to be fair I have owned it for 4 years and have been very hard on it, throwing it around and dragging it though sand and snow and whatnot. I want to send it to Osprey for a repair but can't bring myself to part with him for that long. BEST PACK EVER

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great GoPack for Red Cross Deployments I have used this pack for many Red Cross deployments, the last for Sandy in NYC and Long Island. I could pack everything for a week including clothing and gear needed to sleep in a staff shelter until hotels were available. Lots of lined zippered pockets to separate important stuff. Compression straps make it even more compact. Top strap makes it easy to haul, even for an old man. Fits nicely in the overhead compartment on the airlines. It was especially great to have my name on the pack, Esteban, Spanish for Steven. I love this pack and keep it ready to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mild Mannered Third Grade Teacher Bag By Day, Super Hero Citation Pilot Bag By Night Amazingly versatile. I hate having to have multiple bags for multiple exploits, and given my two chosen professions that I refuse to choose between, this bag hits on all cylinders. More than enough room for my materials and books for teaching third grade all day, and plenty of room for me to store some clothes and my dinner when I head out to the airport to work the night gig flying corporate. My most trusted Super Hero bag hands down, and it had stiff competition. It easily beat out the Osprey Metron 25 that I bought at the same time, and that's saying a lot, because I liked that bag so much that I kept it despite having no use for it. ,,,,You're looking at this pack. You like this pack. You want this pack. You NEED this pack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bag! Stupid Text Ive had this bag for close to a year now. Its great! The quality is what you would expect from Osprey with lots of well placed pockets and organizational features. It fits my MacBook Air (in a protective sleeve) well and many other essentials. I have taken it on many trips and it is easy to carry on an airplane or go over the road on a bus. My least favorite part of the bag is the silly text that Moosejaw added, mainly the "or baby snakes" printed on the headphone port. I HATE snakes. To the point where I might not have purchased the bag had I known this was printed on the bag.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Backpack comes apart at seams I bought this back pack for a recent trip to Spain. Love all the pockets. However, after just 2 weeks of trekking around Barcelona, the seam in the handle is coming apart. I tried the "hassle-free return" option. Evidently, it is not for me because I live in Alaska. I am so tired of this. Flat Rate USPS can be used for Alaska same as the lower 48. Very disappointed in the Esteban pack and MooseJaw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag for the money I've been using this bag for a few months, mostly for commuting to work, and I love it. The feature I most looked for was the bike lock connection point. My banana used to always get smashed by my U-lock in my old bag, and smashed bananas are disgusting. When I got the bag, though, I was pleasantly surprised by all of the premium components, especially the many, multi-sized compartments (including one hidden), chest strap, hook for keys, etc. The best value bag for the money I've ever bought. And I love the styling of it: simple enough to take to work, but distinctive enough for me to love.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After much deliberation... I researched bags for a good month before I found something I was willing to settle on. I was looking for a new backpack for school and something I could use for day/weekend trips. Appearance is normally something I take into large consideration when purchasing anything, and this bag isn't quite my aesthetic, however, it fit all of my other criteria. 1. Useable pockets - check! 2. Bottle holder(s) - check! 3. A brand I can trust - double check! 4. Chest strap - check! 5. Great reviews - check! 6. Larger than 25L - check! 7. Can fit my laptop - check! 8. Has structure and isn't a floppy sack - check! 9. Has zippers and not buttons for pocket closures - check! When it arrived I was still a bit skeptical, but I transferred all of my items from my old pack into my new Esteban pack I was sold. I'm now in love with it. I have room for all of my usual school stuff with room to spare unlike my old one. I take it everywhere with me and although it's quite masculine looking, I don't even notice anymore and don't give a poop.

I don't have to duck under the overhead bins in planes or walking under tree branches. But I had to return a women's cycling pack because it hit the back of my head when riding. Is this pack petite-friendly?

Asked by: MelonLord
Thanks for the question! The Esteban measures 19" high and 13" across. I am 5'3" and would consider myself petite and this pack fits me. The top does not come up that high, so I don't think your head will hit the back. Depending on how small your torso is, you could potentially rub against the handle that is on the top of the bag. If you give it a try and it doesn't work out, you can always send it back :)

Another reviewer complains of " Moose Jaw added text " on the pack ? Baby snakes ? What are these ?

Asked by: Angus the serious
Hey Angus the Serious, Thanks for reaching out to us. We like to add a certain amount of madness or "flair" to our products, because we aim to be the most fun retailer out there! The "baby snakes" refers to text printed on the top of the pack indicating where you lace through your headphones. We have since replaced that with a Moosejaw headphones logo. There's a Moosejaw "W" on the bottom of the pack, "Love the Madness" down the spine on the back of the pack, and the Moosejaw & Osprey logos you see on the front. I hope this helps!

Is this bag covered by Osprey's lifetime warranty?

Asked by: tacopants
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! I had to go all the way to the top for this one, our warranty expert, Dressy Jesse. No kidding, the man wears a tuxedo when he takes out the garbage. Pure class. Anyway, he assured me that not only is this bag covered by the Moosejaw lifetime warranty, but since it's a collab between us and Osprey, it's also covered by Osprey's lifetime warranty! You know what that means? You are all set! Hope this helps you out. Hugsies.

Will this pack hold my flute, music stand, my laptop and a couple of books.  My flute in case is 17" X 4 1/2" X 3". Steve in Brooklyn.  Also looking into Talon 33.

Asked by: Estaban
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! Listen bro. Your name is Steve. This bag is called the Estaban. Estaban is a homonym for Esteban. Esteban is Spanish for Steven. STEVEN!! Put down your flute and listen to me!!! This bag was made for you, hermano!!!! But, yeah, you'll have plenty of space for the flute case, books and laptop. I assume your music stand is one of those tiny ones that folds up. If that's the case, you'll have room for that too! ¡Espero que esto te ayude!

Yo yo yo, how well would this bag, if lightly packed, fit under the seat on a plane? Possible or bad idea?

Asked by: LucasW
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! You've got an amazing eye, as this is one of the best items we carry! Lightly packed, you should have no problem putting this under the seat on a plane! You'll be fly...on the fly! (I'm sorry about that....) Hope this helped you out!

How well does this bag keep things dry in a downpour?

Asked by: dmeanr
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! Speaking technically, this pack gets a 4.B on the Lanzetti scale of dryness. However, being that you're not in the backpack industry, that may not mean much to you. Essentially, it's going to do a pretty good job. However, keep in mind that it is not waterproof. For a completely waterproof bag, I'd check out the Outdoor Research Dry Sacks. Hope this helped you out!
