"Awesome run/hike/ski/out and about jacket"
I love this jacket and let me count the ways. First I was looking for a no hood jacket--if I'm skiing I wear a helmet, and if its so cold I need a helmet compatible hood, I'm wearing my Patagonia Powder Bowl and not soft shell--duh. I hate running with a hood too, just not me, and for whatever reason there are no soft shell jackets with a removable hood that cost less than $500 and have so many pockets I don't need. Here's the thing, if I'm skiing in soft shell, I'm wearing a pack and hiking somewhere and don't need tons of pockets. If I'm running in soft shell it's pretty cold and I still don't need lots of stuff ie hydration. So this is a perfect simple solution to my needs: stylish, functional, simple. I'm really stoked to pair it with some green ski pants next season--green pants were the rage this year and but they all sold out before I could snag the right pair. What's more I did the famous Jackson Hole Headwall hike--no overheating or cold sweat on the way down. LOVE
This is my mom's favorite brand plus color so this was a not brainer, I went to the marmot store in san francisco and they told me this is a hot color and they were sold out & back ordered..So big up to moosejaw for having it in-stock and shipped..The prodigy jacket is a good windstopper plus it keeps you warm,my mom has a black one which she wears everyday so this is a back jacket..perfect for around town or hiking
