This is a premium quality jacket. Seams & materials all top-notch. Warmer than your average soft-shell. Great for late fall & early spring here in Wisconsin. With a fleece sweater underneath, I'm comfortable in the upper 20s during moderate activity. Gore Wind-Stopper makes a difference. Absolutely perfect athletic fit (Size: Large) (5'10, 185 lbs).
"This is the best all around jacket in the world"

This is my second jacket after owning one 5 years. it was stolen. I think it would have taken me another ten.I wear this black jacket to work (A CEO) as well as on the slopes. Its that classy and well made to fit both extremes. At work it's great with a dress shirt or sweater. The "pit vents" are awesome to keep you fresh throughout a multiple event day.On the slopes this jacket will take care of you down to 10 degrees (F) with a nice fleece under layer. Its virtually windproof and water proof. Its stretchable to allow you plenty of movement. I haven't seen a better jacket and worth every penny!
"Good jacket but has declined over the years"

I'm on my second sharp point softshell. My first one lasted almost 10 years and was replaced by marmot when the fabric panels started to separate. They sent me the new version and its just not as good as the old one. My biggest complaint is the hand warmer pockets. In the older versions the pockets were solid fabric, this allowed you to use your hand warmer pockets when it is cold out. Now if your pockets are unzipped your losing almost all your heat out the pockets. I have a Moosejaw softshell also i actually use it much more often since it has a hood. It also has the same problem with the pockets though.
