The MSR Twin Sisters 2 Person Shelter is an ultralight tarp tent for the avid outdoors enthusiast. It can easily be set up with your trekking poles or a couple good sticks, but since that's not everybody's style it also comes with two lightweight poles. There are also guy loops so it can be set up without poles/sticks. With doors at both ends, you can set this up as an open tarp to block out the rain or close the doors and have it function as more of a tent. Anyway you choose to set it up, the Twin Sisters 2 is a versatile shelter that won't weigh you down.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 60 + days Having spent 60+ days in this home away from home I would say buy it if your considering it. Spent 14 days on Kodiak Island in my twin sister in 25-30 mph winds and driving snow on a mountain side and she held up to my suprise. Just another testimaent to MSR quality Pros: pitches well, trekking pole option, super light, hi vis for finding camp, bucks the wind like a champ Cons: touch the sides and your soaked " any single wall will do this " , needs loops on sides to pull tent wall farther out, sets up diffrent every time, tube style bag takes up too much space in my pack so I had to buy a rectangle bag. All in all most complaints are just me nit picking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fast and light This tent provides a fast and light shelter, easy to throw up and not much weight to carry. I have used it in winter and summer. It provides ample room for a solo adventure. Like most single walls condensation is a problem but can be regulated through the two way door zippers and vents on each peak corner. It stands up well in a storm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safe and light I got this for several years now and I've used it on countless ski touring trips in the Central Andes, overnight mainly and two nights too. We use to dig a tub like hole in the snow underneath, making the roof higher and thus wider head room too. This makes it roomier than any mountaineering tent I've ever been into. With this arrangement a third buddy is admitted (ok not a tall one). The shelter is really solid under high winds if you use your skis, and it repells snow well too. One drawback is condensation (would surely improve if we didn't cook inside; to be mentioned mine is the one door model). Under really heavy snowing though, unlike tents, hitting you walls may eventually end up with some snow coming in under the sidewall, in spite of the flaps otherwise great. Fair enough, you know you don't have a floor and you like that. But again this under heavy snow and everybody knows there is only so much snow a tent can handle before you need to pick your shovel up and get busy outside. This one is just no exception. Also, this shelter is so light that I often take it on "remote" day trips just as a back up, when I feel it might eventually help. I feel it is a very light weight for an extra safety item.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from easy set up and pitches tight i've had this tent for two years and like it a lot. set up is easy. side wall pull outs would improve this tent i believe - especially in snow and wind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sure bet winner despite the many hater reviews I had read. Purchased MSR Twin Sisters received (3/1/14) Here's what I like: ,,,,(1) VENTILATION -- (A) zippers on back and front door. They pull open/closed from two directions, up and down. (B) Twin Peak vents. (C) Two Poles -- para-cord line between for hanging condensation reducing candle lantern --safe with ventilation. (D) I added two mesh bivy with bathtub floors for myself and guest -- inner tent concept for condensation.,,,,(2) PROTECTIONS -- (A) Skirts -- protect from splashing rain/snow, and keeps slimy critters out. (B) Mosquito netting -- For $16.00 you can add very large mosquito netting for doors. ,,. ,,I fly fish and camp in Texas, Michigan and Martha's Vineyard for Steelhead, Trout and Stripers. I've had good brand name tents that are either too stuffy, condensate profusely or blow rain up your skirt. They didn't have the versatility potential as this one. And of course, as Darwin once said "If you can't adapt, you won't survive.",,
