Rated 5 out of 5 by from converted to boa and plastic/metal and rubber are dead We got a pair of the white 22's for Her and black 27's for me. They are so light, I'd say go for the 27's unless u are very small as they float so much better. We started out in 4 ft of poetry snow at pebble creek in yellowstone I went down to my knees then bottomed nicely. Then followed in tracks not me than three or four people and it was a piece of cake. I weigh 185 her 125. We did a few relatively steep hills in tracks. Stay on your toes coming down. No literally, stay on your toes and the crampons grab great, rock back on your heels & slide like most others. The lightness, flexibility, float and amazing ease & comfort of the boa bindings make the old metal and hypalon type approach archaic. MSR's are like pick up trucks to a BMW comparatively to these and not to disparage the MSR's. Just different. You want to move with ease across snow get these. Awesome!
