"Really Nice Scissors" 12/17/12
This thing is great, for what it does. If you are looking to replace your 100 function knife then this probably isn't for you. The blade isn't very useful and the nail file seems a little silly, however if you want a great lightweight pair of scissors this is the tool. I keep it i my first aid kit because it is very light and a vast improvement over the scissors that are normally included. They are great for cutting thick gauze or tape.
"If you need a good mini scissors this is it!" 03/01/12
I haven't found a better micro/mini pair of scissors yet, they are way better than what comes in most swiss army style knives. That said if you don't need the scissors the rest of the functions aren't that useful in such a small size. In the end it's the scissors that sell this guy, if you don't need those, you'll probably be happier with a larger multi-tool, or swiss army knife.
"Good tool" 12/07/11
I have the Leatherman Wave Tool and this was a good everyday carry alternative. The size makes this tool convenient and the quality is high and the scissors came in handy, but I think I prefer pliers.I recommend this product, just make sure the tools are what you need.
"Scissors vs Pliers" 12/01/11
This tool is definitely small enough to take around with you or on any backpacking trip. I keep mine in the saddle bag of my bike. All of the tools are of great quality. Keep in mind that the knife is pretty damn small, so heavy duty cutting is kinda tough. This is like the new, way awesome version of a swiss army knife. Very sleek design and nice feel too.
"Get it for the Scissors." 07/16/11
If you're buying this tool for the scissors, it is absolutely worth it. They are bigger and easier to use than any scissors you could find on a Swiss Army knife. However, the other tools inside are difficult to access and awkward to use. If you really need portable scissors, stop right here. If you're looking for an all-around knife, try Victorinox.
"Low weight, high utility" 06/19/11
I carry this tiny multifunction tool on every expedition. Here are some of the things I have used it for: pulling out splinters, tightening glasses screws, tightening standard screws, fly fishing, cutting moleskin for blisters, trimming callouses, cutting cheese, light cooking, finger nail management, and opening a beer bottle. As a physician I bought it also knowing I could use it for an emergency tracheostomy. Fortunately I haven't had to do one, at least so far.
"Extremely useful, pocket sized tool for everyday use or on the trail" 02/13/11
The micra is the perfect tool for pocket carry. It is a miniature version of the standard Leatherman. The scissors are perfect for cutting rope, thin wire, brush, and many more things. The knife is razor sharp and the stainless steel makes the blade stay sharp for long periods of time without sharpening. I carry it every day to work and if I go camping or hiking, it is one of the first things I make sure to pack. Extremely happy with this product and recommend it to any person. It is the perfect combination of size, functionality, and cost efficient.
"Tame version of the classic multi-tool." 01/29/11
This tiny knife will fit in any pocket, anywhere. It's the multi-tool for everyday life. Scissors that make charp, clean cuts, a small blade, and other handy tools. This is a must-have. It has a key-ring, so, if you don't have a pocket, or you don't want to keep it in your purse, just attach it to your keys. There's just one thing: the scissors are the main function, but all the other tools are somewhat hard to access underneath.
"Life-saver" 12/20/10
This thing has saved my arse more times than I can count. It's unbelievably sturdy, and it can handle jobs totally disproportionate to its size. A word of warning, though: don't try to take it into sporting events, courthouses, or airports. Law enforcement considers it a weapon, even though the knife is ridiculously small.
"Probably my favorite leatherman product" 12/12/10
My brother bought me a Leatherman Kick, that came with this for free. The Kick is a good multi-tool, but this thing is invaluable. Taken it with me on over 1100 miles, and still use it. Perfect for beard trimming, and other personal grooming. As other reviews state, the blade does go dull, but can be sharpened.
"Good little tool" 12/17/09
This is an excellent tool to have in the backpack or tackle box. Fits easily in a pocket unlike some of the bigger tools, but you still have most everything you need. Only knock on this would be that I can't seem to get it as sharp as it used to be but I think someone with more skill could solve that.
"Light, functional" 12/06/09
I refuse to carry the weight of a full-size multi-tool when backpacking. The micra gets the job done at a very low weight. I have carried one for years and have no complaints, no failures, and nothing I would add or take away. It may be the perfect backpacking multi-tool. Well, o.k. the steel on the knife blade doesn't hold an edge the way a good knife does...but that is really nitpicking as I carry a separate fixed blade or folding knife anyway.
