had for two years. great shoes. durable. deal with water well. practically climb anything you could with your climbing shoe. no tears or de seaming. still going strong for two years more
Picked these bad boys up for what I thought was a very reasonable price. They hug the foot with the feel of a thousand monkeys, and the traction is second to none. I wear these things hiking, walking around campus, and while having a cocktail at my favorite watering hole, and they still beg for more. Highly recommended!
The Boulder X shoe is just what your looking for. Perfect for short/long walks. Easy to tie and fits just the size. I recommend to fit your shoe just the size, that way it will have better performance. The Vibram sole makes the shoe perfect in high friction, even over wet surfaces or slippery ones. It's really confortable wearing the shoe for long times. TOTALLY RECOMMENDED!
This shoe is great for short day hikes, or scrambleing up steeps to get to the bottom of the crag. And once there I seem to not be the only one who caught word of how rad the BoulderX shoe is. The other thing is they give a shout out to the beautiful climbing town of boulder everytime they caress your feet. This is one of the awesome features. I have also been seen wearing these around town and they support my arches like a boot, yet are light weight and can honestly go anywhere. I usually don't want to take em off by the time I get to the wall. bomber shoe, as one would expect from La Sportiva.
broke them in doing everyday things and now i wear them outdoors and in the city. it's a great approach shoe that is stylish and comfortable enough to wear doing everyday things. not designed for anything too technical but suitable for easy routs if you don't feel like changing your shoes.
I purchased this shoe a few weeks ago and they have not let me down yet. I use them mostly as an everyday shoe however they do perform well on the trail. The lacing locks your foot tight to allow a precise fit. They run a little on the small side so I would suggest ordering a half size up unless you plan to use them for solely climbing where you may want a tighter fit. It has a nice aggressive sole that provides sure footedness on the trail and sticky yet durable rubber for the boulder fields. Overall I am very impressed with these shoes as I can use them on the trail, around town and at the crags.
These shoes are awesome. They are like a hiking boot with a low top and flexible sole. They do a great job of keeping your feet dry when walking through wet snow/water. They do run at least a size small. I usually wear a 45 and ended up having to go with a 45.5.
This is a great approach shoe. Probably not the most technical one on the market but super comfy and hikes well. It is also the only approach shoe in the line under $200.00. The only downside is the round laces do not stay tied. This can be an issue.
"Sticky. Fit like a climbing shoe. Ankle rolling a large possiblilty"

Ok, keep getting cut off for having more than 700 words so here it is. Great traction except on wet wood. Fit like a climbing shoe, which i like but non climbers would hate. The heel is and your ankle actually overlaps each side of the sole. You will roll your ankle at some point but all these other factors have forced me to buy another pair. Bottom line at some point im going to break my ankle, which im ok with, I just hope its not in some canyon somewhere
