"Always works. Need to clean with bleach after every trip but that's expected." 04/08/13

Original filter lasted over 20 years before needing replacement. The seal between the ceramic element and the top cracked. New element is working fine. Never had a problem with my pocket filter in 20 years until I went to use it in sub freezing temps and as soon as water rain through the check valve it froze up intantly. Good thing I brought enough fuel to boil.

I wouldn't leave home without i. It goes where i go and places where no man who has a life in the city would go...seriously its an awesome way to get drinkable mud when you are ready to die from thirst, not that I have been in that situation. Thank you for allowing me to buy from you... peace and love, hippie
