"Not like sitting in front of the fireplace, but does the job!" 01/06/12
Whether a psychological or a physical effect, this product delivers the warmth. They do not get too hot, but provide enough warmth to take the edge off. Best for pockets, inside gloves, or warming small spaces.
"Needed" 11/29/11
i bring 4 of these every single time i go camping from September to May, great for sleeping bags that need to be a little warmer, great for boots, gloves and really good in case one of the kids isn't as warm as they desire to be. cheap and useful
"Don't expect sweating palms" 02/03/11
These were pretty disappointing. I remember back in the day when they had the old warmers that you broke the bubble inside and the package would heat up to super high temperatures. Well, these are not them. These are pretty much only useful for a last ditch effort to thwart off frost nip. They take awhile to heat up and should probably be placed on areas close to veins on the top of your hand. This will warm the blood to your fingers but it won't be anything you can really notice. They probably work best psychologically so at least you think you're getting warmer.
"Don't get your hopes up" 01/04/11
While these hand warmers work great in ordinary conditions, don't bet your hands on them at the highest of altitudes/coldest of temperatures (I've had them either fail to get warm or not warm up as much as they ordinarily would).
"Warm and toasty!" 01/02/10
Ok, was on a windy summit the other day trying to sign the register without gloves on and was I glad to have a couple of these guys ready for me after I was done! They last quite awhile and definitely help when things get frigid.
"Almost as good as hot cocoa, even when you brought the right gloves." 12/17/09
Okay, so I almost never use these because most of the time when I'm outdoors in winter, I'm being active. However, its a little slick for the ol' bicycle these days and my hands have been getting chilly walking to work. They take a little bit to warm up, but when they do, you almost wish you'd have a reason to be outside longer. Make sure you have something between these and your skin though, because it'll get irritating after a while if you don't.
"Great little item when your hands get that unforfgivible chill" 11/01/09
I love these things. I keep a few of these in each one of my packs, never know when u or ur mate may need one. There simple to use and u can get a great smile if u pass one to the right person. Taped one to my knee once when the water froze in there.
