"Better Than Nothing" 11/16/12
I am more of a slab climber than anything and I like the 5.10 stealth rubber better than anything else I have used. So far these seem to be a decent pair of shoes. I do not think the quality of any of the 5.10 products is as good as it was a few years ago. At least most of their stuff is made in the USA.
"Decent shoe" 09/23/11
It's not my favourite pair of climbing shoes. I wear them when my other pair get too stinky. My feet are fairly wide towards my toes so the fit isn't the best in these. Instep rubber seems to be wearing quicker than any other climbing shoes I've owned.
"Great Trad shoes" 06/06/11
Great if your trad climbing. I sized mine 1.5 sizes down from my casual shoes. My right foot is noticeably bigger than my left, and putting the shoe on the first time was a joke. Shoe ended at the knuckle of my big toe. By the second climbing session they stretched out enough to not bother me at all. Wearing them for hours of climbing and belaying without taking them off or complaining. Not the best shoes for bouldering though. They just aren't down-turned at all for overhangs, and the laces all the way down make me weary of toe-hooking because I'm afraid to cut the laces. I've only had mine for a few months, but the construction seems like they'll hold up for a long time.
"Great beginner shoe" 10/06/10
This was my first shoe I got and I've had it for two and a half years now and still love them. They fit great and can be warn for quite a while, plus the rubber has lasted at least twice as long as anyone elses shoes i know of. That being said after about a year the toe had rounded off making edging a real pain.Over all a great entry level shoe that is comfortable and last for a while, but for more avid climbers get something more aggresive.
"Beyond fantastic" 10/04/10
This shoe is epic. I was a bit scared to buy my own pair of climbing shoes at first for fear that they wouldn't fit right or I wouldn't like them ect... (I know) BUT these shoes are amazing, they fit perfectly and are really comfortable (for climbing shoes!) They grip nicely both indoors and outdoors. The lace-up is a bit of a downer because it takes longer to put on this shoe than it would a slip on, BUT you have better control and fit. Overall this is a fantastic pair of climbing shoes, and the best part- they turn your foot blue after you use them. (No worries it washes off)
"Great Shoe, broke in faster than expected" 03/12/10
When I got this pair of shoes, I expected to go through hell for at least 5-7 times of climbing. However, this shoe already started getting comfortable and fitting to my foot after the 2nd time wearing it.After the 3rd time the fit was perfect and it feels like part of my foot now. Grip and hold of the sole on the Wall is excellent, as expected from 5.10 shoes.I'm not a "Bad Ass Mo Fo"-climber so I can't tell from that point of view, but the shoe satisfies all my needs for my weekly climbing sessions in our in-door facility.I'd buy it again anytime.
"Smurf Feet!" 09/29/09
This was my very first climbing shoe besides those nasty old rental shoes they like to sell for $5 with holes and the toes and smell like fried rice (who knows). Right off the truck they fit great, none of the sore points that most shoes have before you can break them in. The grip provided is fantastic I don't find myself slipping off holds or losing grip when heel hooking. For a first shoe I would highly recommend these.
