SPECIFICATIONS of the CamelBak M.U.L.E Hydration Pack
I love my camelBak I use it for every thing hiking, biking, kayaking and at festivals. Keeps all my gear and keeps me from water starvation. Holds plenty of water for a good outing and I like to fill my with ICE for an extra treat :D
I just started mountain biking. I got the camelbak to hold all of the extra gear I take and make drinking water easier. I am very impressed with all the features on this pack/bag. It has a mesh padded back so that you back is comfortable and gets some dry air. It holds a large amount of water and it is also very good for insulation the water has never been warm when using it on long rides or hikes . I also like using the camelbak inline filter with it. That way no tap water or plastic taste.
When I first got is pack I used it much for hiking and trail running, and it worked great. Good storage. I keep about 5 meal bars, oatmeal, a stove, knives, hatchet, water, and various tools. It works great but I found later that the best thing it is for is EDC and day hikes. I use it much for EDC with anything I would need and its very comfortable and durable. It is a good pack but if you can get an earlier version, its much recommended. This one is durable, but not as some of the older versions, doesn't have as much space, and doesn't have some of the great features. Either way great pack and better for EDC than others.
"Perfect for a daypack or mountain biking"
I use this all the time when I don't need a lot of stuff with me, maybe a rain jacket, water bottle, and some snacks. I only use the bladder when I'm hiking or mountain biking. This pack is perfect for trail riding. It is small and compresses very nicely to stay close to your back. The bladder is very easy to wash out and dry with the tabs that fold down and the detachable hose. The space between the "harness" or front pocket is perfect for shoving a jacket or small bike pump in. The front pouch is more than roomy enough for whatever else you might need while biking or hiking. Overall a great daypack.
