"Cool Lantern" 05/12/13
Cool little lantern, surprisingly bright for its size. Only take 4 AAA batteries, so that means I only have to carry two sizes of spare batteries in the pack. Its small size makes it easy to pack and doesn't weigh much.
"Lottalight!" 04/15/13
Very cool light, here. Compact form factor, waterproof and TONS of light (in many fancy dimmable settings). The only hang-ups to me were the hooks you suspend it from (weird double-hook looks cool and works, but is a small hassle. Still much better than using a carabiner) and that I WISH you could direct the light into a flashlight form. That might sound silly being that it's a lantern, but they made it slick and collapsible - why not the extra 9 yards for a pop-off cap or something? Anyway, until they make that, this is the best ultra-light, all-around lightsource I've found.
"Light up your tent!" 04/04/13
I can see myself getting by without lantern on backpacking trips, but my wife insisted and I can't say I regret buying it. First thing first, it is storm proof, I can't say about cold weather but the rain is no problem to the little guy. The light output is a little dim, but good enough to assist with putting up a tent at night and cooking. The design is well thought out and functional. Though, if I had to guess, the primary function is to be a chandelier for the tent. It is not as bright as Voyager, but is built like a rock and is more or less indestructible .
"Broke after 1 night in the Rain" 02/06/13
I love the dimming feature of this lantern, and the compactability, but now the 'on' button won't stay compressed, so this lantern only stays lit for about 15 seconds. I'm blaming that entirely on the rain, but even after drying it out (by use of multiple silica packets) my lantern won't stay lit.I have hung it up inside my tent by the handle, and it compresses down to fit nicely in my 13 L daypack. It's a great lantern, over-all, but doesn't stand up to getting wet. If you're going to be somewhere that it absolutely won't rain, this lantern is bright, compact, and the perfect size.If you're going somewhere cold, wet, and suchlike, this lantern might not be the one for you.
"Great product. Must have, perfect for kicking back in the tent." 02/02/13
This lantern is small and is all you need to light the inside of your tent at night. perfect for overnight trips in the wild, even works great in subzero temps.
"Nice compact light..." 12/09/12
Admittedly, I didn't read the size on the specs before buying, so I was surprised at how small this thing is. However, it is pretty bright and would serve the purposes I bought it for. Because of it's size, you can bring this thing anywhere.
"Bright, Educated, Head Of Its Class (Pun intended)" 09/20/12
I didn't read the specs on this very well before I ordered it. It was much smaller than expected, which had me worried. When I turned it on though, I was blown away by how much light it puts off. It's perfect for tents and small campsites alike.
"luxury in a jam" 07/27/12
Just got this recently and was so happy to have it. My buddy and I got stuck on a trail past dark and didn't find a suitable spot to camp till 11pm. We hung this guy from a tree branch and were able to set up camp comfortably. It even attracted the bugs so they were off of us!
"Near perfect for small groups under in one tent." 05/09/12
Collapses down a bit smaller than a can of Red Bull (the lil ones) and lets off a good amount of light. Also has a dimmable switch and clever bail (also collapses and can hook around mesh/cord to hang from gear lofts). Small footprint, lightweight, decent construction, plenty of light on AAA power. For a few people sharing a tent, there's nothing not to love.
