Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tent. Worth the money. It has seen rain, snow, sleet and lots of sandy mud silt crap from the riverbanks.Only noticeable moisture was around the corners.Vestibules are enough for your pack and some shoes and stove.I have noticed the seam tape on the rain fly has dried out and is cracking everywhere. On my recent trip it was sleeting and raining for about 12-14 hours straight and water did drip from the top.Must re-tape.The size if perfect when deployed, enough for 2 or just 1 with all your gear inside, and a little too big I think when put in the stuff sack. That being said I have a 70 pack and this goes in there with plenty of room left for other things on a multi-day trip.I recommend this tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little house on the prairie, or mountains, beach, riverside. Nice three season tent. Light, easy to pitch, great for star-gazing in clear weather. Rainfly color coded for fast set-up. The optional ground cloth is great for use with just the fly as a quick or fair weather shelter, but is kind of bogus with the tent as a standard footprint. Reason Black Diamond tells you to tie some sort of cord to the footprint gromments and stake it out with the tent ground loops. No one should have to after-market modify any gear these days in order for it to work in a standard fashion, and the footprint tends to protrude past the edge of the tent, reducing its ability to PREVENT water from pooling under the tent. So...tent 5 antlers, groundcloth 3 antlers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from look at the marmot... Grumbles: ,,,,- Groundsheet insufficiently resilient even having used the footprint - i.e. pretty leaky.,,- Build quality mediocre: zippers stick and snags consistently, baggy fitting flysheet.,,,,Positives:,,,,- Outer has remained water-resistant in the heaviest downpours. ,,,,It was a good value buy - I think 150 USD (around 90 ukp - back in the day) and cheaper than any other competitor by about 70 - but judging from this tent Black Diamond are best at making cams and harnesses and need a bit more practice in the tent building dept...but who knows perhaps they've improved by now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Long-term bummer Seemed perfect at first. Awesome indoor space; 2 double-zip doors; vented fly; good pockets (no loft needed); decent vestibules (bit high off the ground, but aids ventilation); can arrange the fly half-flipped-back, nice for viewing stars but easy to go full-cover fast if it rains; warm enough for a surprise snowfall (personal experience); cheerful color. A bit heavy, yes, & packs large, but it seemed worth it. Now? Big disappointment. After 5 yrs & 4 uses, ALL of the factory seam seals started cracking/peeling/leaking in a major way, and the fly PU coating is degrading. DIY solutions are only temporary. I got a 2nd Mesa cheap, hoping the 1st was a lemon; didn’t even use it before the seam seal started peeling & the PU is degrading, despite being in AC storage. PU problems are normal if you put it away damp, but I always dried mine indoors for multiple days, kept it in a cool location, etc. On 2 tents, this means a general problem. If you're going to spend this much money, get a better warranty!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitley one of the best 3 season tents out there! This tent rocks! When I was looking for a new tent, having a girlfriend and a dog, I was looking for something lightweight with 2 doors and vestibules, and plenty of mesh for star gazing. Friends recommended the Hubba Hubba but it seemed kind of small to me. This tent was exactly what I was looking for! Plenty of room for 2, the packs stay under one vestibule and the pup gets to sleep under the other in bad weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This OUTSIDE best ever tent really is the best ever. This tent rocks. Super light, easy to set up, lots of room, two doors, great vestibules. It also held up a lot of snow when we got dumped on in the Adirondacks. Lots of mesh=no condensation buildup. The fly is so bright and cheery you almost want to be stuck inside for days on end in the rain. So far this has been a great buy. AND FREE FOOTPRINT!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and Lightweight! Love it! This tent is amazing! I took it on my recent trip to Wy. It was lightweight, easy to set-up and take down, and fit my girlfriend and I perfectly. The rain fly was heaven sent during the nightly rain and dried relatively quickly in the morning. I totally recommend this to any backpacker looking for a light-weight, durable tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from From Florida to Wyoming, best tent ever. I've lived in this tent for weeks and have taken it all over the country and it still looks like new. Great dome shape keeps winds at bay, and if it doesn't, like in Zion, the structure is sooo strong that I've had the wind pull out every stake out and literally move the tent with me, another person and a bunch of gear in it, and it still didn't rip or break. The zippers are super strong and smooth (except for the top of the rainfly which is my only gripe about this tent, but thats merely a learning curve thing) I'd say this tent does have a learning curve, but when you get it, a single person can take it up and down and sideways without breaking a sweat. Another cool thing about the set up is that it's designed so that the frame goes up, then the rainfly, then the tent. so even in a downpour you'll set up quickly and the actual tent will never get wet. Plenty of room inside, especially great for tall people. Good for hot days and good for snowy days. Awesome color and just great.
