"I love my Big Agnes Lost Ranger Sleeping Bag!"

BA-what an excellent idea--slide your insulated sleeping pad into the sleeve in the bottom of the bag. 1-You never worry about sliding off the pad anymore. 2-It keeps you warm without added down in the bottom of the bag. Without the extra down in the bottom, the bag compresses smaller to fit in your backpack or bicycle panniers. 3-Less chance of getting down wet. One time my water bottle fell over and leaked in the middle of the night. The bottom of my bag was soaked, but the top side (filled ith down) was dry. I just laid it on top of my tent and it dried quickly. Love love love it!
This system has worked adequately for me. I do notice I sleep a bit cooler than in a regular mummy, meaning I get colder than normal. There is some dead space at the feet that I really notice when the tempt begin to,drop. Normally I just stuff my down jacket down ther to help with that.
I'm 6-3 and the long version is perfect and not constricting. I've had this bag for 3 years now. I like it so much I often unzip it and use it in the winter on my normal bed as an extra cover. It is extremely soft and comfy and I've spent some very cold nights in it without ever getting chilled...yet I've never sweated in it either. The slide in pad design works great and I will never get another brand of bag/system.
