The Big Agnes Insulated Q-Core Pad is an insulated sleeping pad for warmer rest in the backcountry. The top of the pad is insulated with X-Static synthetic insulation, which uses your body heat to help warm you up faster. The quilted construction combined with alternating I-beam construction provides even weight distribution. The center is three and a half inches thick while the sides are four inches thick, cradling your body so you can rock yourself to sleep while listening to the crickets. The inflation valve can be opened easily to adjust the firmness at any time, or release all the air when breaking camp in the morning. The Insulated Q-Core packs up small into the included mesh stuff sack, ready to take a ride in your backpack until arrival at the next camp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like sleeping on a cloud... that makes fart sounds on occasion Wonderful pad. I have been using the Thermarest prolite for the last few years and loved it, but when it was time to replace I decided to go Q-Core and I'm glad I did. the difference is amazing. It insulates so well I found myself hot sleeping on partially snow covered ground. it was so thick it was like I had hiked in with an air mattress. the shape and design is also perfect because unlike the single stitch pattern you dont feel like your on a pool float. the only thing is it takes a hot minute to inflate so it can get a little old. but the big agnes pump house solves that issue right up and you get a nice little pillow which is cool too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the bed! This mattress fits into the sleeve of my Big Agnes bag and makes it SO comfortable to camp! I can flip around as often as I want (star gazing or critter watch) and never fall off! The I-beam construction makes it feel supported yet not as if you were lying on top of a balloon. We inflate with an air pump, but I've blown it up orally and it was up and set in minutes. Packs down teeny tiny too (important when trying to shove it all into my pack). The dual material choice gives the option of "keep me warm" on one side or "keep me cool" on the other. you CAN tell the difference. Love this product. Bought long though our bags are regular, just to have the option of sleeping outstretched.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seriously amazing pad! This sleeping pad is quite possibly the best sleeping pad I've ever had. It's super comfortable to lay on and it holds it's air really well. On top of all of that, it packs up incredibly small when deflated.,,,,The only downside to this pad is the amount of air it takes to inflate it. I have the large version of this pad. Curse my large stature. Anyway, after inflating it for the first time by mouth, I nearly passed out from exhaustion/lack of oxygen. Be warned! Take your time when inflating this manually.....for the sake of your health!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from warm and impressively comfortable My wife and I each used one of these on our winter camping trip in Glacier National Park at the end of February 2014. They did a great job of insulating us against the snow (my back never got cold) and they packed down to a relatively small size. This pad is a little larger than the NeoAir X-Therm, but we tried both pads at a local outdoor store and this pad was definitely more comfortable and also didn't crinkle when shifting around on it. If you don't mind a little extra weight in your pack and a little extra size, these provide a little bit of backcountry luxury.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very comfortable, but not warm This pad was very comfortable to sleep on. I sleep on my side and this pad kept my hips & shoulders off the ground. I have back problems, and sleeping on the ground or on 1.5 inch mats simply hurt my back. This mattress did not. I woke up as if I slept on my bed at home. I would highly recommend getting the 25 inch wide pad, if you roll around a lot in your sleep. It is very light & takes up little space in your backpack. On the down side, the pad did not keep me warm at 26F. My back & side were cold all night. There was no snow on the ground & I was in a tent with a waterproof floor. I have reservations calling this a 3 season pad. It did not seem very "insulated" to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you want to sleep well, buy this Getting a good nights sleep on the trail is important. Sleep well, hike well. The Q-core is the best pad I have used. The insulating factor is excellent. Lay on it, then move off it and you will notice the difference immediately. Slept very well in sub freezing weather. Comfort tops any other pad I have tried. The tubes on the sides are slightly taller than the middle, cradling you oh so nice. Have used this pad on many 8-day backpacking trips. Can't feel anything that might inadvertently be under the tent. Camped on rock - all was good.,,Yeah, you have to blow it up, and yeah, it weighs a tad more, but worth it. ,,Now Big Agnes has a SuperLight (SL) version that I am contemplating buying. ,,A great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like a warm hug This pad rocks it for both excellent insulating properties but also the feeling of sleeping on a cloud without thinking you are going to fall off down to earth! The raised sides keep you nicely tucked in with no fear of abandonment. Easy to blow up (takes about half a beer) and retains the air with easy closing mechanism. air releases just as easily and rolls up to a fairly small unit. I highly recommend this for camping or when your spouses snoring demands a night of relocation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shocked at the comfort-to-weight ratio I'm a recovering car camper transitioning to being a backpacker because I want to spend more time in the backcountry.,,,,Problem was, I had spoiled myself in my car-camping days with a Therma-rest Dreamtime pad. This is a bulky, almost-better-than-sex luxury vehicle to a great night's sleep. How would I ever be able to sleep on the ground with less comfort?,,,,I was shocked to learn I didn't have to.,,,,I have the Big Agnes Roxy Ann down sleeping bag and use this pad in it. The higher side rails keep me nicely nestled/ Bonus: with the pad in the sleeping bag sleeve, I don't slide off the pad like I did on my otherwise dreamy Dreamtime.,,,,I love this pad! Blowing it up is a pain. You can get the Big Agnes Pumphouse, but I've seen some easy hacks to creating your own ultralight "pumps" using a garbage bag, vinyl tubing and duct tape. Use "the Google" people!,,,,You won't go wrong with this pad.,,
