Times are tough all around the country, but this jacket is well worth the steep price. The new Gore-Tex does not make that crackly sound when you walk (big plus for me) and the new insulation Coreloft allows for really comfortable insulation without the bulk. My last insulated jacket purchase was the Theta (I think). It is very warm but very bulky. This jacket keeps me warm as well as looks really cool. To the people who would never spend $1k on a jacket, I will let you know that I won't spend $500 on a purse, $2,000 on a foofy dog that goes in a $600 purse. This jacket is for hardcore snow sport people and not for anyone who complains about the price.
If you have $1000 to waste on a jacket then please send me some. This jacket is only worth $1K if there are 10 $100 bills in the pocket.Sorry to all you nuts that want to spend or have the money to spend on this jacket. But you are crazy.
